I consider the MA forum the best forum in regards to metal and related subjects. Lots of users, steady traffic, diverse threads and perspectives.
As it would happen, I'm really into horror flicks, like so many other metalheads. What I wanted to ask is: Is there a forum with similarly steady traffic and a good amount of users dealing mostly/only with horror and sci-fi movies?

The movie Funny Games is awesome.

And I have no idea about a horror movie forum. Sounds a little too specific...

Funny Games is pretty cool. Got a little confused at the remote control part. Sure as shit wish that I had one of those though! Right now watching a movie called, "Mr. Hush". Never heard of it. Some dude dressed up like a priest just killed some guy's wife and daughter. Starting off a little slow, hopefully it gets better.

I turned that movie off as soon as the guy woke up "10 years later" with that goofy white hair and beard...so stupid I couldn't even laugh.

I don't know the best forum for horror movies, but I reckon the best horror film has to be (original) The Thing

Edit; and Silent Hill. Grave of the Fireflies (animation) bought home the horror of war and its effects on people struggling to cope in the aftermath.

Too specific? This is a forum specifically for an underground music genre

Also it occurs to me some might think this thread is about "the best horror movie", but in reality the thread is a request for a good forum ABOUT horror movies.

I don't know what half the people are saying in this thread, nothing related to what the OP is asking for. The website Bloody Disgusting deals with horror movies and they teeter on the sci-fi side occasionally, if the film in question is dark enough.
Here is their forum http://bloody-disgusting.com/forums/

I think John Carpenter's version is the best. But, if you're talking terms of, 'best horror film', or even just, 'best film in general', or even just, 'best everything in the world', I would have to say, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" is definitely something EVERYONE needs to get tattooed on them.

I used to be active at bloody-disgusting a while back and it's good forum indeed.
Best horror movie though is without a doubt Evil Dead followed by the Beyond, but that's a lite offtopic so excuse me for that.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Halloween. Those are THE horror movies, classics. Also, I usually don't enjoy newer horror movies but I loved Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. It's not the best horror movie but I loved it. Anybody else see it?

I have. House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, particularly the latter, are really goddamn good.

my favorite horror movie is probably the original Halloween. i also really liked Rob Zombie's remake of it, it was cool how he made it his own but also didn't stray too far from the original. his sequel was meh, though. not bad, but not very good.

This is the best horror movie forum ever. I think the scariest movie ever made is Ladybugs. Frightening. Horribly frightening.

Halloween. Hands down, for the win, absolutely. For its time, a masterpiece. I wrote a very lengthy paper on Michael Myers being the personification of evil in Western civilization so I'm very into his characterization and representation in the films and comics.

I like all sorts of horror icons, but Michael is my favorite.

Specifically this horror forum had a tight community of knowledgeable regulars compared to the singular film boards or other genres that could take a while for a response. Good luck.

So glad it's gonna be back in theaters this month.

My sister likes to frequent a place called Killer Reviews, whose forums are quite varied, but their main focus is horror movies. She recommends it.
