In the vein of this song: Сердце-Камень – Ожидание

Preferred with Russian lyrics, female vocals and a general dreamy atmosphere...

Thx :)

she sounds just like the chick from Мельница [Mel'nitsa] to me.

you might like Рокаш [Rokash], too, though I think they only have one album out.

(looks like there's another one or two bands with the same name -- the one I'm talking about has the 2011 album "Запалі Агонь")

apparently the singer in Сердце-Камень is from Грай [Grai]. they're a little heavier (distorted guitars), but have a beautiful symphonic sound.

Thank you for those suggestions, I'll definitely check them out!

Yes, I am a huge fan of both Alkonost and Grai, yes Irina has a very beautiful charming voice.

Rokash is pretty amazing. I heard them on an Internet radio station and loved them instantly.

I don't know of much Russian folk rock with female vocals. If you're familiar with the folk metal band Ros', their one CD is half metal and half folk-rock, with nice female vocals. Also, for something lighter, Moon Far Away is pretty nice (especially their album "Belovodie," which I listen to regularly). And the neofolk band Vnuki Svyatoslava is amazing, especially their second album "Plesti Venkami Pesni," though unfortunately they are no more. Beautiful female vocals.
