I just got back from Brutal Assault Festival in Czech Republic where Immolation played a crushing (but wayyy too short) show - and Ross Dolan told the audience that they're releasing a new record ("their darkest yet" as bands always say) in early 2013.

Just though you wanted to know, and I didn't see it mentioned here after a quick search.

I'm looking forward to it. Both Majesty and Decay as well as Providence kick ass and Immolation can generally do no wrong in my eyes.

interesting. . . . hopefully they go back to their old ways of doing things and talk more about religion in their music. I always liked their earlier artworks.

Awesome! I hope they get added to MDF XI as well; that would be tops.

Fuck yeah is all I have to say, the Providence ep was so incredibly heavy I can't wait for this. Great band all around, I can already see album of the year for 2013 :-D

GET YER JESUS COUNTERS READY, FOLKS!

Really excited for this, been a fan of everything they've released and Providence was excellent. Should definitely be near the top of my list for 2013.

Good news! Majesty and Decay was a slight disappointment for me, especially because I consider Shadows in the Light to be on par with their best. But a weak Immolation album still means it's better than most of the death metal out there. Will be picking this up. Hope they announce a US tour soon.

I thought Majesty and Decay was an awesome album. A Glorious Epoch is such a killer song. Definitely looking forward to this.

I've loved most of what Immolation has done, and Majesty and Decay and Providence solidified the band's capabilities even further. New album aside, I think I'm more pumped for the inevitable tour that'll come after.

I will be looking out for this one for sure, I hope they keep the low doomy death sound they had with their later albums.

Can Immolation make a bad album? If their current track record is any indication, not likely.

I personally have issues with their early 2000's stuff because it's too disjointed and pulsey for me, but I really liked the last album and EP, even if Providence in particular had too little twistiness, it was still an excellent slab of riffs. Looking forward to this.

As for Incantation, finally! It's been too damn long, they've completely missed their entire era of worship bands haha.

While I haven't loved this band as much I did when they had Alex Hernandez drumming, I will always check out new Immolation.

Fuck yes. I have everything by them except Hope & Horror (Yes, I have Stepping on Angels... Before Dawn). More Immolation is excellent news.

Yeah, I'm of the opinion that Immolation isn't a band to suddenly change directions dramatically for the worse. The new album is sure to be good.

Just checked their FB page, they've posted some photos from the studio and they are actually almost finished tracking. Usual suspects here: Paul Orofino producing, Sound Studios in Millbrook, NY, and Zack Ohren to mix and master the 10-song album. Count me in as another of the waiting despondent souls.

Strangely enough dreadmeat, I've had my eye on that for a while now. That store has the cheapest prices on a bunch of CDs I'm intending to buy.

I've already bought some stuff from them, including the Led Zeppelin box set which was about half the price I could find it anywhere else. Postage time wasn't too bad either, which surprised me. I usually prefer UK and German sellers as postage can take a week, but I'm lucky to get anything from stateside in less than a month.

It sure is nice of that one store to have the cheapest ebay prices on a bunch of my most wanted CDs.
