Please look for better and you'll find these photos.

Okay, resubmit. It wouldn't have killed you to include that one simple link in the submission, though...

Hello,
I am writing this post because it has come to my attention that a band called "Compassion Dies" has been repeatedly barred from submission onto the websites database. This is very confusing to many people, including myself, because the band clearly is "Metal" enough and meets the qualifications for submission. Aside from being influenced by bands such as Atheist, Death, Kreator, Voivod, and Candlemass, the band has released a two song pre production demo. Evidence of this demo can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/compassi ... 7873142527

I play in the same music scene as this band and I can assure people that they are quite metal. Here is a video documenting a performance they did for proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTLoVZQ03M8

For even more proof, here is a photo of a bill showing that Compassion Dies opened for Warbringer: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater

I hope that this can be sorted out and they can be submitted because they deserve to be.

Apparently we didn't receive concrete proof of a physical release and there was even one faked in order to get in. Can you provide pictures of some copies maybe? Do they give this demo away at shows?

Hi, I wrote here because you have rejected my band 5 times, due to several ridiculous reasons...and the last reason is that "it isn't metal"...so, I think that Black Metal is Metal.

anyway off topic, Mortiis is Metal?..he never does metal, apart from Emperor...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRXZHeDLcMM

hope, it will work...

cheers!!!

The impresssion I got was that it is more ambient than black metal.

If any other mods want to listen: http://soundcloud.com/silence-the-earth

Mortiis is here as a non-metal side-project.

Only I have more ambient music because some months ago I wasn't able to record the metal stuff, but now I can, and record this demo with a few ambient tracks as interludes, and stuff ...but I asure you that this is a black metal project.

I think that this is the same example as Demonoir by 1349: we can't call it ambient due to these interludes(tunnels of set), it's a metal release.

cheers!

Just curious, why is the UK death metal band 'Binah' blacklisted?

I came across them today and wanted some info but none available. So I tried to submit the band...and I get that message.

The reason in the blacklist says that they don't have a physical release.

Also stupid comments deserves harsh replies.

O_O I didn't post any stupid comments, did I?

Anyway, I didn't post this band earlier. I'm just a curious bystander who was searching for info.
They do have a physical release apparently - Link
Released on 24th July apparently.

Can I submit the band then? :-P

Sure, I'll remove them from the blacklist. And no the comment was obviously not for you, your inquiry was cool.

Was Fates Demise blacklisted for a lack of a physical release? They have a CD available at CDbaby.

According to the blacklist, "predominantly more -core than metal.".

Why was the band Taurus denied? To me they seemed more metal than other drone doom acts such as Nadja and Sacrificial Totem. I heard them for the first time last night when they opened for Agalloch, and they certainly appeared to be objectively a metal band.

Here's a sample of the band.

Me and some other mods agree that it's not predominantly metal.

It varies between ambient and black metal and the ambient parts make up the majority.

I'm listening to Reality Approaches by Harm's Way (the Chicago band known in hardcore circles) and I must say it's sounding very thrash/crossover. Am I out of line to think this?

They are not blacklisted, so you could just submit them with the necessary proofs and song samples from the album in question and find out. "Would my submission be accepted if I submitted this?" is not the purpose of this thread. That's what the queue is for.

Doesn't say, but it might be not metal enough as they seem to have a physical release. Or maybe the CD wasn't out at the time of the blacklisting.

Looking at the things I find on Youtube, could it be that this is a cover band?

Hi, there will be a full length from Lidande available on CD in the winter. As you know, their was a misunderstanding on my part and I hope if it is possible, at the least, the black listing can be removed and the band can be put back up on itself by someone else when the full length is released so, in the future this question doesn't come up.

Once it's released you can provide evidence and it will be reconsidered.

Also, he has to convince us that this time it's his own material, and not stolen instrumentals of other bands with his vocals.

Yeah, I remember the whole fuss around this project. It will require some watertight evidence, to say the least.

Let's just wait until the discs are printed and ready
