Why was Anime Fire accepted?
Normally I am willing to give metalcore bands the benefit of the doubt, but even by my standards this band is too "-core". If you don't want to take my word for it, their songs are easily searchable on youtube.

Hm, selective sampling on his part, sorry. He linked to this. Doesn't appear to be metal enough, all things considered. Gone and blacklisted, thanks.

Inssect:

Might want to delete this one, here is their song from the split. It has guitars and stuff, just not very metal:

EDIT: Thanks!

So...what about Alone in the Morgue? http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Alo ... 3540346330

I remember I was considering submitting them a while back, but now I remember why I was hesitant to do so - they've got a few MDM riffs here and there, but all their songs basically feel like they're built on breakdowns, with the occasional riff thrown in as an afterthought.

I agree. The music sounds more based on -core breakdown riffs than on the quintessential metal riff. I'd be in favor of removing them. The band was, however, accepted by Alhadis, and I'll wait for his input on this... perhaps he has heard something we haven't.

An oversight on my behalf. Gone.

Listened to some tracks on youtube, and it seems to be Neoclassical/Ambient only. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Considering that the genre field only says "Neoclassical/Ambient", I'd be willing to go out on a limb and say that they're here because of the side-project rule.

Eyes of Fire: http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Eyes_of_Fire/46169

Bought their first EP the other day, and it's basically a bit of hardcore-influenced sludge mixed with wimpy hard rock:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Oq1_ZC35k
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Oq1_ZC35k
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMNpWrIYTNs

The full-lengths have a bit more legitimate metal, but it's mixed with a lot of mellowed-out...post-rock, maybe? I dunno, don't really regularly listen to anything like this. Anyways, the metal influence sounds pretty scarce to me.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du5nLd3hEDg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5WtNDcZ2wc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScOBEIvfTgg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deh2uAv4LXA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfhD-kDlQMc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_q22QflFFE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7SlfhD6Q8E

I'm not a man with a wish from the grave, if you know what I mean, so I'm not the best judge of post-sludge stuff. But this is, at the very least, extremely borderline and should be given a more accurate genre than "Doom/Sludge Metal". (Doom, really? Slipknot is more doom metal than this.)

Hi.
This is just a quick question with regards to Twisted Sister. I'm not suggesting that they should be deleted from the archives, but to satisfy my own curiosity I'd like to know which of their releases is considered predominately metal. While I agree that they have a few metal songs, from what I have heard they are mostly hard rock/glam. I don't want to listen to their entire back catalog, but I'd love to hear them at their most metal. Any help would be appreciated.

They only played glam back in the 70s before they released any albums. Their debut album is the very definition of a straight up heavy metal album. They gradually became more and more hard rock, and its on Come out and Play from 1986 that they stopped playing metal.

THRILL WARRIORS should be NUKED.Since when Metal-Archives accept KISS meets ROLLING STONES sounding bands??? If these chicks use a lot of bullet belts and tattoos it doesn't show they sound metal as well.

If this is "Metal then bands like WHITESNAKE,ALICE COOPER should be accepted because they sound MORE HEAVY METAL than this parody band from Sweden.

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Бред_С_Трибуны/125483

This band has "Metalcore" genre but it's metallic hardcore in the vein of Terror, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front and Madball on both albums.
Once I had their second album and many metal has "gone", the band became pure NYHC sounding.
On their Myspace you can hear three songs of their first album and it's hardcore with metallic sound right?
I've seen them live one time and they're acting like a NYHC hardcore band.

No. It's heavy metal, there's a huge NWOBHM influence. Change your tone.

And nuke this band while you're at it, it's hardcore with screamo choruses. Despite the thicker production, the riffing is basically melodic hardcore choruses with breakdowns for verses.
