Of course. I'm really excited about Saturday night after Morbid Angel (also excited to see them for the first time); Tsjuder should be really cool, Haemorrhage is gonna be insane, and Winter will close out the night nicely.

Winter was the band I wanted to see the most this year.

My Velnias backpatch arrived today (and they also put a small patch in the package too) so I'm probably gonna sew those on tonight.

That is a bitchin' DIRT patch. Been wanting to try to rassle one up for a long time.
Actually, I have been wanting to do a GG Allin patch for a while too, but I haven't really settled on or come up with a unique design I can manage to draw by hand yet.

Here is a shot of all the extra patches I have gathering dust in my collection. Bootlegged some, got plenty at shows, and traded for the rest.

Image

I guess I have a problem collecting patches. I have maybe 20~ more patches that I've decided I wouldn't actually use and are in the process of being traded off. I've also gotten rid of about 30-40% of what I had over the past few months, along with slapping about 10 new patches on my denim vest a few months ago.

Damn, son. That's a lot.

I wonder, do we need a thread JUST for patch collections?... I have several as well, just no fucking place to put them. The DIY ones are mostly cheap stuff done with acrylic paint and/or stencils on cut-up cotton t-shirts tho.

Moobeat: what's the emblemesque patch below the white-on-black WitTR logo, with a bright red patch and a Warbringer to the right and a dark, blurred one to the left? Black wolf on a white field, with probably a scepter crossed by an axe below.

Cool :-D And the other pins are Amebix & Leech in case anyone is wondering since it's kinda hard to tell from the pic.

That, along with the red one beside it, is a Velnias patch.

I think I'm going to take most of the patches off of the front of my grey jacket (which is posted a couple pages back I think) and put them on my new vest, cause I don't really like how they look on my grey jacket anymore. Going to keep the back completely intact though.

Does anyone know where I can find an Enforcer patch (preferably a backpatch)? The closest I could come up with would be cutting up a shirt, which is still hard to find itself.

Thanks :) I've seen some videos of LoB playing live, and they look like they put on an awesome show, I hope they come out to the east coast one time.

I'll have to go listen to these bands now, I haven't heard of them before.

Edit: Checked out both bands on bandcamp, and I really enjoy Welkin Dusk, not so sure about Ramlord, will have to give it a few more listens first.

thanks! and yeah haha, it probably is, found it in my closet from so many years ago, didn't even have to change the batteries lol.

EDIT : Anybody have experience with heat transferred patches? I'm about to order a bunch cheap that say "patch with embroidered edge... possibly heat transferred image. " beneath them. I assume that means they will just fade quicker, providing I wash my vest (which I don't plan to do often)

Just finished my DIY Agoraphobic Nosebleed patch. Was gonna sow it on today, but I my thread was chewed up by my dog...I found this out by stepping on the sowing needle that had fallen to the floor after the dog got the thread from the table. Damn dog...

Looks nifty... I like the rough look of it and the sort of "ghosting" from what I assume was a stencil....?

No pics, but today I finally (re)attached an Electro Hippies patch to a shirt that's too big for me.
Also, currently working on re-attaching a Napalm Death patch to my jacket, which was always off-center, and drove me a little bit crazy... gonna sew on a DIY Subhumans patch above that once it's sewn into place again...

Playing lots of Saint Vitus while I do so.

Seriously, that's a cool backpatch, mate. Can't wait to start working on my second vest, sooooon!

So many wicked kutten! I would post mine, but it's constantly changing and despite being nearly completely covered, it doesn't feel "done" yet. Perhaps one day when I feel 100% satisfied with it...

Haha... yeah. I can't help it, being the resident Metal Archives faggot, the one thread about clothing and accessories is the most exciting for me.

Not to mention, I went through a period where I decided I hated Metal.
That's gradually starting to pass, and I just haven't yet made up for it in embroidered patches yet. Maybe once my meds start kicking in and I can manage to find a job to buy that kinda thing.

PS: Thanks for providing me with the inspiration for my new sig... :B

Oh man I was by you a LOT during the course of the fest! Your vest is fucking awesome, that Winter patch does indeed look great! If I had seen this before MDF I would've definitely said hi.

Thanks for the compliment, but it's a shame I wasn't able to formally meet you.

iamntbatman spotted me/the vest after Demigod and I chatted with him briefly. I also met Grimmig with him.

That fest added some "filth" to the vest which I'm totally fine with :-D.

There was a guy there who was taking photos for his tumblr, Endless Blockades. Pretty cool stuff.

Wow, I was directly behind you for most of the Marduk show last night! I thought about telling you your vest was awesome but I must have gotten distracted or something. I was the skinny guy with a beard and an Inquisition shirt.

Cool. Yeah, I was at the Marduk show last night. Really good sets from each of the bands on that tour. I really hope Weapon will tour more often. They were my favorite band of the night, since I've seen the other bands multiple times. Were you there early enough to catch their set?

Yep, we got there just as Weapon started. Definitely a band to look out for. They were my favorite of the night as well and I hadn't even seen Marduk or 1349 before. I thought Withered were just good, but their set was still a huge improvement over the last time I saw them where they played all of three songs and had too many sound problem to keep going.
