They're also headlining the "Martyrdoom Festival" in NYC.

Not much of a lineup, Anhedonist has to be the most stereotypical Incantation clone minus 1\10th of the songwriting ability. Other than that looking forward to see Dead Congregation

I'm just glad to know these guys are still around! I haven't heard anything from then since Graves of the Archangels four years ago.

Submission's notorious for that, Not sure what Metro's excuse is. Rest assured, shows are going down

I'm really excited about the show. It'd be nice to be able to find out what time it starts and how much it costs.

edit: Course there's always the option of going down there around 7 and asking and then going up to the Trappist for three hours until they start. .. or calling. That could work, too.

Awesome lineup...I'll probably be checking out the Portland date.

Veracs comment is obviously one of retardation. Incantation-clone...have you even heard the new album?

Or even heard Anhedonist at all. even their demo/first release sounds nothing like Incantation... Oh wait i know the similarity... they both use down tuned guitars!

Anhedonist is a Doom/Death band. Incantation is a golgotha Death band. Obviously Anhedonist has them as influence, but yeah calling them a clone is retarded.

Saw Anhedonist play at a festival in December and I had to pat someone on the shoulder and ask who the band was. They definitely laid down the quality that day, wasn't possessed by them but again, it was definitely quality craft. I saw Grave Miasma at a different festival in Oct. and they got better the longer they played, by the end of their set I was sold. Plus, their drummer is FUCKING KILLER!
Wish Dead congregation was coming to my city and I could just get off work and go down the road and see them, never witnessed them play.. lucky fuckers. May just have to jump on a plane if I can get a cheap flight for a breif metal get away.

Flights from AB to Seattle can be relatively cheap and there are quite a few affordable hostels here in town. I urge everyone on the East Coast to suck it up and go to Martyrdoom in NYC June 30th. Hell of a line up.

Additional dates not listed above:

7/5 SF, CA at Submission with Dispirit
7/8 Portland, OR at Rotture with Knelt Rote

I'll make a catch all post with all show info and advance ticketing shortly.

Anhedonist will exclusively playing 1/10th of "Mortal Throne..." but minus any hooks at every show.

There will not be an LA date added. I would strongly suggest traveling up for the Oakland and/or SF shows. Grave Miasma and Dead Congregation are not to be missed live and neither are the locals on both shows, Vastum and Dispirit especially.

Damn, I wish there was an LA date. I'd love to see Anhedonist and Dead Congregation, but a five hour drive to Oakland is killer.

Definitely no LA date will be added. Five hours ain't the worst drive wise, this show will be more than worth it too. Oakland show is a pretty fucking stacked bill.

I'll throw heaps of praise Mortuous' way as well and there's probably no single venue in the bay better suited for the show than the small room at the Metro. Should be well worth the trip for anybody even REMOTELY curious

No advance tickets for the SF date, get there on time. SF show will be ending promptly at midnight, so it'll be easy to enough to catch BART back to wherever after the show for those of you not in the city.
