I've been listening to a lot of modern hardcore bands lately and out of all them I really have enjoyed Harms Way and Xibalba (not the black metal band) a lot and I want more bands in that vein. Pissed off vocals, mean-as-fuck breakdowns and fast almost grind like sections. Something very metal influenced. No pussy melodic stuff.

Basically stuff like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaVWWaZg ... ure=relmfu
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCw-atA_ ... re=related

Much appreciated.

integrity would be a good example of very metal based hardcore but still firmly in the hardcore camp. they have been around for a long time. i recommend their seasons in the size of days or humanity is the devil albums

i would like to point out that both integrity and all out war are not metalcore bands but metalic hardcore, from the 90s. Another band in the same camp as integrity and all out war would be Catharsis, a band that was on crime think and has a few albums out.

i was really into the holy terror hardcore scene. I am not sure if Integrity's discography is still online for free but it was like 6 months ago i just forget where to find it with links etc. if i come across it i will post it.

Try Pulling Teeth's latest album, "Funerary". One of the very few recent hardcore albums that had a huge influence on me. Yes, it sounds pretty evil and has a lot of extreme metal elements as well. This: http://youtube.com/watch?v=g1_7IPcrJKg

Skinfather's "Atheos" EP, Swedish death metal influenced hardcore: http://youtube.com/watch?v=b-rhlSUuh0Q

Speaking of the Holy Terror scene, Ringworm fit the OPs request pretty damned well.

Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus might be too far on the metal side of things, but they might fit. Pretty much the barely-coherent bastard child of DEP and early Napalm Death. Too angry to last.

Mistress should fit, at least on In Disgust We Trust.

I'm yet to meet a fan of Harms Way who didn't also like New Lows.

Stretching a bit into more standard modern hardcore, but Broken Oath and Reign Supreme (assuming you already know them) might fit the bill.

Try Creatures, awesome metallic hardcore: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPlujoWR8GE

And The Killer from Chicago. They have a new EP called Obey No One but it doesn't appear to be on youtube, so something slightly older: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5IJ-S24PzI

There's also Homewrecker, but their debut album won't be out for another month or two: http://homewreckerohio.bandcamp.com/track/cemetery-man

This might overstep what you're looking for, but give it a try:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fipFJGbgPc4
Teen Cthulu are basically blackened hardcore (with occasional symphonic gibber gabber).

you must listen to ASCENSION and their 2nd album "Abomination" - powerful new school hc with severe metal injections. Actually very metallic, with angry vocals and a great production.

Rock Bottom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5Lr9Bgj-pY

Wrong Answer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emPHbNCFRDs

Both are pretty breakdown-y and have some angry vocals. I don't think either of them get quite to grind paced, but they're heavy on the metal influences, so you might dig 'em.

You should check out Kickback, been around since the mid 90s and features members of arkhon infaustus playing holy terror esque hardcore. Definately has an evil vibe.

Found Dead Hanging. They had an album out called Dulling Occams Razor and then disappeared. Incredibly brutal, hardcore influenced. Definitely worth checking out. Go here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNDTHEvxrnU
The video sucks and doesn`t do them justice, but there is only two that I could find. The album is way better and heavier.

I got that CD about a month ago and I've been spinning it almost daily since. Highly recommended.

Disembodied's second album, Heretic, is also definitely worth checking out. Heavy, tough as fuck metalcore.

Although I don't think they use any breakdowns, you may wanna check out Tomas Lindberg's hardcore band Disfear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jVwXXG9HPo
