I haven't been listening to a lot of metal these days, and I want to expand some of my "non-metal" music, bands like Circa Survive, Harvard and Closure in Moscow have been in constant rotation. So, Thats basically it, I'm looking for bands like that :-P

I would like clean vocals only, a lot of movement in the instruments, and non repetitive drums, slow tempo songs are also welcome.

Here are some examples:

Closure in Moscow
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o910S5mf75U (This is what I mean when I say "Lot of movement in the instruments")

Hardvard
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfdQDefOD-s (And this is "Slow tempo")

Circa Suvive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mKkMlcn0Go

Thanks. :)

Well I don't like indie at all, and the only post-hardcore band I listen to is I Am Abomination, so here's I Am Abomination:

Not much of an expert on this kind of music, but I do listen to Circa Survive, and I enjoy them a lot. Some other slightly related bands I enjoy are Dredg and Coheed and Cambria.

I second the Coheed and Cambria recommendation.

At the Drive-In and The Mars Volta might capture your interest too (I only like the Mars Volta, but oh well):

I know you like Circa, actually, I'll tell you a little secret triggerhappy, I started to listen to Circa Survive thanks to your post in the "Progressive Rock" thread :-P

I'm already aware of Dredg and CC, but thanks anyways :)

Hah, I never really bothered to check back on that thread again since I realised it was mostly discussion of oldschool prog rock, which I have no clue about. Glad you like Circa though.

Something a little left of field here, the awesome Joeyfat; intricate post-hardcore/alt-rock with surreal spoken-word vocals.

Enjoy.

Further to my Joeyfat rec, check out Unhome, which featured some of the same members. In fact, thinking about it, you may prefer Unhome to Joeyfat.
