Holy shit, man! That's pretty thorough. Did you get the Baphomet statue that came with some of the SW/Mutiilation/Drowning The Light splits? Just curious.

The want-list that you've tacked onto the end would serve you better if you posted it in the 'Trading board' section of the Marketplace forum here. I'd suggest doing that if you haven't already. Must have taken you quite some time to track some of those down!

With the right bidders and buyers you could literally have $2000-$4000 in collectibles here.

That's a nice collection. I'm not the biggest fan of SW but very nice.

Best of luck in your searches! Your collection makes me long for the days that I was able to spend more of my income on my vinyl collection. I mean, I have well enough already, but I'm missing out on some cool stuff right now due to a recent vehicle purchase and a few necessary surgeries.

Oh god, as someone trying to build up a Satanic Warmaster collection myself, that's mighty impressive. Do you have a The True Werwolf collection as well? Let's see that Endless Journeys double cassette! Also, do you have any Armour stuff, or the releases of any of his other projects like Satanael or Blasphemous Evil?

And what's that red insert with the Nachzehrer vinyls! Why didn't mine come with that?

This. It's like how DTL releases every album in 6 colors of vinyl, intentionally creating "collectibles" so legions of trve fans can represent by owning the same album six times over. SW is nothing special, imo.

I feel exactly the same way about how this guy feels about Satanic Warmaster. The music is just so fucking good, and it's so consistent. He's so just way too active in the Finnish black metal underground.

If you want good Finnish bm, just listen to projects that Shatraug (Sargeist, Behexen, etc) has participated in.

Wow, very impressive! Bands like Satanic Warmaster and Drowning the Light are daunting for me to get into collecting because of the vast amount of releases they have. Although, I think Satanic Warmaster has some of the better material out of those bands, so good luck completing your collection!

Why have multiple copies of the same release? Seems a bit redundant.

Maybe, CSM is a great BM album and his pinnacle, but from then Satanic Warmaster is going downwards and being redundant, while on the other side DTL is progressing and clearly making better music than his previous efforts. And even the reviews on this site support this statement.

Nice work mate, Awesome collection!!!

Love SW and have contemplated kicking off a mad hunt for my own collection but not sure if I can face the time and money... I have 2 copies of Strength and Honour on CD (1st & 4th press) and number 1 on my wantlist is the vinyl version... once I get that I think that will do... how did you aquire that one? and how much $$ did it set you back?

Whoa man! Great collection, if you ever need some $$, you know what you can do, haha ;) I can't help you with any of those releases that you're looking for, though. Good luck finding them!
P.S. You reminded me that I haven't listened to Satanic Warmaster since the EP from 2010!

I understand the concept of wanting one of each thing, but not wanting the same thing over and over.

With some collector's it's not so much the practical value of a thing, as it is the sentimental value of having a certain pressing. That's where I differ from the more die-hard collectors, in that I'm typically happy with just owning one version of a given album.

Same here. I was just satisfied to come across a copy of Carelian Satanist Madness.

Though I'm still impressed by the initiative of some to collect like this.

I try to always get - and mostly I do - the original pressing. If I can't, I look for the best re-edition (usually some special package or stuff like that). If there's nothing like it, I get a normal copy.

I have some albums twice but different format and presentations, where I got the normal first (a tape, a jewel case cd or example) and then I bought the vinyl.

That's great, do you have any other collections, like any of Werwolf's side projects? Are you going to get the Opferblut red and blue vinyl represses?

You physically own more SW than half this whole board does in metal.

I wonder how many complainers just in this thread alone own less. Food for thought.

That's a sick collection, and I realize I should start collecting his stuff. I have nothing as of now, but I love the work. Good job on the collection! If you're ever, for no reason, just giving the stuff away... ;)

I personally found Satanic Warmaster to be boring (and the band leader to be annoying and childish on FMP666 forums), but if you like his music enough to collect all of this, congratulations.
