Ok, as we all are laughing out loud at the various self painted covers we talked about in the FFA thread, the mods gave an "ok" to give it an own thread.

Please onyl post self-made covers and not funny ones found somewhere else (the NWN thread linked in FFA) and keep the resolution at a max. of, say, 500x500 pixel so we don't have too huge pics.

Go - get yourself a cover, paint it on MS Paint or Photoshop (only with the pen tool, no filters or whatever!)

So, I'll start off with the one I already posted in the FFA thread. Though I love the band, the album and the original artwork, I really had to do my version of it:

My picture this time around it going to be a little larger than the given proportions, but it's a rectangle so I think it should fit the vertical limits. Also, I used the brush, spray and fill tools. That still counts, right?

I picked this one up from my CD library and just painted away. It's an abomination, really, but it's my abomination.

This took almost an hour to make.

My copy of Skyrim hasn't arrived yet, so there ya go

I'm going to go ahead and repost the one I made for the NWN thread. It took me an OBSCENE amount of time, but I was doing it at work so I'm practically a professional artist! A complete holocaust of spacing/depth, yet I feel oddly proud:

both the Keeper and the Manilla one are awesome (saw the Manilla Road already yesterday at NWN). Oh, and @iAm: please reduce the size of your big. No bigger than approx. 500px please.

Although the original artwork is awful in itself, I didn't exactly improve upon it. I wasted one and a half good beers on this!



Edit: This got me thinking. In the original art, what the hell is that white turd below the skull? Why is the sky (I think it's the sky) purple/pink? In some cases, the tiny 10x10cm cover of the CD case is a blessing.

Didn't leave enough room for the band or album titles, but you get the gist of how terrible an artist I am now I'm sure.

Haha, all these are great! I'm amazed that I figured out the painkiller one at once, no disrespect for the artist! This would be even more fun if we did't write the title and band logo. And try to make out which band and album it is!

Total iMasculation. Don't blame the wife, just download Paintbrush! I was kinda dismayed to see my MacBook didn't have anything like MacPaint on it, but with Paintbrush us Mac users (voluntary or otherwise) can get in on the fun of this thread. Hopefully this weekend I can find time to contribute.

Looks like a robot ghost, walking out of a nightclub, weilding a machete, with murder in his eyes. Also, his upper torso is an Chinaman who is angry because a hoola-hoop is floating in front of his eyes. And his legs are blue flourescent glowsticks made of rubber. Which somehow is even better than what it is supposed to be.
