No disrespect to the man, but I think it's time that the pic of Dio throwing the horns was taken down. It's been there long enough, plus he has the creepiest look on his face like he wants to shove those fingers where the sun don't shine. Can I get a witness.

I'll have to admit (with all due respect to the legend that was RNJ), it's getting old... Even my girlfriend, an occasional visitor to the site, told me it's been up there for too long.

It'd probably be heartless to edit out the post of Ronnie's face (hey, it's not his fault), so... let's just wait until the next news post.

I'll second this. It's getting old.

Agreed. Although, it is only part of a site message, so it's not going to be there for too long, I think. Still, the novelty has more than worn off.

Gone but never forgotten Ronnie James Dio :headbang:

It is a good and fitting way to honor the man who has given more to the metal scene and it's development than almost anyone else except perhaps Ozzy. I would say leave it up for a while, but if and when another legendary metal musician passes on, (we all gotta go someday) then either replace it or add that person's portrait to the home page. Ultimately it's up to the site owners though, but to me there is nobody that is associated with metal more than Dio was.

Well there has been one small new post. I mean it is for a good cause, but I have to admit I was getting tired seeing it every time.

True, but everyone who's been on the site in the past three months has seen it and read it countless times. We get the point: he was a classic, influential musician. But it's time to move on.

You can always block the image if it bothers you.

You guys do realize it's a news post, and not a permanent fixture, right? Once more have been posted, it'll be moved to the news archive.

Perhaps we could meet half-way, and replace it with a different Dio pic?

Just wait till it's pushed down by more recent news entries. This doesn't warrant its own thread or discussion, and I'm not saying that because I think you're all disrespectin' the D.

^ This. I made a new post today regarding external links, pushing the pic down. For those who still think it's such a big deal, adblock it or something, sheesh.
