Any metalcore bands without gay-ass emo screaming? Something like Killswitch Engage with more clean vocals?

Ooooh i've haerd of them, I even saw them live. They put on a good show, but as soon as i actually listened to the album and i think i might have actually physically cringed. thanks for the sugestion though. I guess i should have specified. I mean, maybe a band like oceano or impending doom with heavy keys

I'm looking for deathcore that:

1. Has memorable riffs. The reason I am not a fan of many deathcore bands is that I find their riffs to just be exercises in bludgeoning. Maybe that is the aesthetic of the genre but could they at least make them memorable?

2. Has a vocalist that doesn't use pig squeals too frequently and awfully. I don't really like Job For a Cowboy because the vocalist is too much for me. However, I think it would be if a deathcore band used vocals similar to Cattle Decapitation.

3. Good at their instruments and not afraid to show off a little bit. A lot of deathcore I've heard seems really dumb and simple, like nu metal riffs played at a louder volume. I want a band that will make me go 'holy shit I didn't know humans could DO that!'

I realize deathcore is a relatively new subgenre but I'm hoping that there is a band out there that fits my description.

----------------------------------------------

EDIT - A second request. I would like some melodic metalcore with a vocalist that is very technically skilled in clean singing but also uses the "metalcore" harsh vocals. I'm not talking Killswitch Engage, I want better than that.

Your request is still a bit broad, so maybe you'll like one of these. And then go from there. (Most of these videos have shit quality) PM me if you want more.

Between the Buried and Me
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV8Aoy8dH-A

The Contortionist (Probably most what you're looking for. Amazing and memorable.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nov3l4lgShM

Elitist (The breakdown in the middle has been stuck in my head for a month)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFcTjnHnSQ8

Centuries Apart (Current favorite -core band)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f63qb2UeJdk

No Consequence
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha_9P75xdGU

Texas In July (Video is from their original EP version, so shitty vocals. Their later releases have greatly improved, musicianship is still great.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KvphaUYqgM

Veil of Maya - Sick overall Prog Deathcore band. Guitarist does some awesome shit.

seconding Veil of Maya.

try Through the Eyes of the Dead.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVbv1qB0J2g

as for your second request about the good clean vocals whilst still using harsh vocals from time to time, you might try Protest the Hero, though the band, to me at least, sounds way too overproduced most of the time.

Rings of Saturn are fairly memorable, vocally varied and retardedly technical. Will definitely floor you with their technical skills.

what bums me about Rings of Saturn is how sometimes the guitarist has badass riffs and then ruins it with all that wank shit.

like I can appreciate a good solo or a good impressive riff, but it feels like the shit is done without any musicality to it.

Rings Of Saturn are really good, and I love their alien themes, however I feel they can do even better on their next one.

Born of Osiris's first full length. I really enjoy it and has many similarities to VoM, except more keyboard oriented.

Looking for albums along the lines of All That Remains' Fall of Ideals and Trivium's Ascendancy, and shit like that. Know most of the famous shit so don't bother, hit me up with something more underground instead. Clean vocal sections and Iron Maiden sections are a must.

Sylosis might be what your looking for; modern thrash that sounds very metalcore-ish with melodic clean vocals..

Not looking for thrash-based stuff, unless the influences are sparse like the Trivium album i mentioned.

Looking for some really catchy and mainstream, dual vocal stuff. Like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OSSI5hgQVo

Please don't suggest bands like Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack! etc. I know about them, and they suck.

Looking for some stuff along the lines of the Cynic influence in The Contortionist, varied song structures with fluidly changing riffs, please nothing lame like The Faceless.

Knut is an awesome band, I guess they were kinda hardcore/sludge and now they're technical hardcore. Some people might call them Metalcore.

http://www.myspace.com/unknut

As for this new "Djent" stuff (which isn't really new, its just getting popular), this band called RXYZYXR is pretty interesting. No vocalist, I dont really think they need one.

Can anyone recommend me some metalcore with the following:

1. Soaring, melodeath influenced guitar work. I'm looking for something with some sweet Gothenburg riffs, and some awesome solos too.

2. Non-pigsquelish vocals. I can't stand them. I'm looking for something a little raspier or deeper.

3. Clean vocals similar to All that Remains. I love those pure sounding cleans.

Wheather this is exactly what you're looking for is debatable. Some say metalcore with heavy melodeath influece, others say melodeath with metalcore influenced guitar work. I prefer the latter.

They don't use that much clean vocals, though. But I think you'll like it.

No one cares about your attempt to subtly earn "troo metal" cred. Get out of the thread.

Like I give a shit what you or any other fag(they make up 90% of this forum) on here thinks. I'm merely stating my opinion on that joke of a genre/subgenre. I'll post on any thread I please. F.O.A.D
