I heard a band at a friend's house a while ago that had a pig on vocals. I don't mean a human doing pig screams, they actually used a pig's voice for the vocals. Does anyone know the name of the band? I can't remember. It was pretty hilarious though.

Pretty much anything branded as deathcore or brutal death metal incorporate these to some degree.

I was listening to Despised Icon's firs album today Consumed by your Poison..and I'm fucking glad they dropped the shitty vocals for their two albums after that...

Offtopic: I remember listening to a French grind band with two dogs on vocals.

That actually makes sense. Animals can have good vocal ranges. My dog can hit some amazing high notes when provoked enough to howl.

I think there should be more use of animals as vocalists in metal. I can imagine in now.... brutal cat metal.

Not what the O.P. said.

But in response to what you just typed, it is really just Deathcore that incorporates pig squeels, not really Brutal Death Metal.

To go even more off topic, there are pig squeels on their latest album.

A real lion on vocals might be interesting. There are bands that have vocalists that sound like lions already (but they're human vocalists, not real lions).

They could be called gurgles, gutturals, or pitch shifted growls, but there are more names, I know a dude who calls them "Gag Growls" as well.

They use a lot of pig squeals mixed with gutturals. Lower pitched than a lot of the style, but they do use them. Except on one track off the new split, where I don't think anyone quite knows what the hell the vocalist is doing half the time.
