Yeah Root is amazing. Wish it was easier to find their albums though, there's only two on I Hate Records, the rest are a mystery to me.

I just ended up downloading them all. Still doesn't stop me from keeping an eye open for em in stores though.

Iron Maiden - To Tame a Land

One of their best songs ever, honestly. Insanely creative and cool. Nothing else ever really sounded like this one.

I've put my player on random so who knows what songs I'm gonna hear today...

Right now its One Man's Fate - Testament off the Souls of Black album.

This album is about the time when the shit got stale. Same formula used on other albums. Although the title track does kick ass and I do enjoy The Legacy.

The Radio Dept. - Pulling Our Weight

I not usually one for 'indie rock', but this is an incredible melancholic pop band from Sweden that has a very strong shoegaze influence. It's also quite nostalgic which is something that connects with me in music.

Finishing up my first listen of Edguy. The album was Hellfire Club. Kick ass stuff.

One more scratch off my long list of "big-metal-bands-I've-yet-to-listen-to."

IMPALED - The Last Gasp

song: Torture of Duty

thoughts:
much better than the predecessor (with its absolutely awful sound/mix/master), but the band to this day hasn't recovered from the loss of Andrew LaBarre. They're such an average band it's kind of painful, i think they could have been much more, ... i think they're in many ways underachievers musically speaking. But i still like it haha.
