I guess two Therion patches are necessary in order to draw attention from the Rammstein patch!

fragpirate, I like yours a lot (maybe a favorite) but the off-center Toxic Holocaust is just enough to make it disappointing.

I've been into metal for a long time, and so I finally decided to make myself a metal vest, or thrash jacket as mine will mostly be. Got a denim jacket from wal-mart (either because I'm lazy or because spur of the moment decisions aided by conveniently placed cheap stores is totally underground, you be the judge) and have ordered several patches from Rockabilia.

Right now I've got waiting:
Master of Puppets back patch (because my brother claimed the shirt)
Megadeth logo
Anthrax logo
Exodus logo

I'm mostly into classic thrash and florida death metal, so I'll collect more and post a picture as soon as it's decent.

Protip: Don't order from Rockabilia. Every order i've placed with them has had something end up backordered for an obscenely long amount of time.

Fair enough. Since I'm at college and this is stuff that will be sent home, it's not like I'm checking my mail every day. I'm just sick of stores within easy traveling distance from my house not having any worthwhile metal gear. (yes, DARPAchief said "metal gear" ha ha ha)

Got any recommendations for reliable sites with a wide variety of patches?

Generally try the band/record label's distro as well, especially for more popular bands or bands on bigger labels like Nuclear Blast, etc. and things of that nature. Actually, Nuclear Blast has some patches and things for bands that never were even on Nuclear Blast (I ordered a Running Wild shirt and some patches from them a while back including Bathory) so thats probably worth checking out.

The program I used on my pc to take the pics inverted the text and whatnot or something haha, so the patches look backwards? Still working on the studding a bit..might make me another vest when money allows.

Haha, for that amount I'd buy myself 1 million patches . You could check ebay for those patches, and when searching the internet, try the German "Aufnäher", meaning patch.

Is there btw anyone who knows where you can get (official) Manowar patches in Europe? There was www.metalboerse.de, but for the moment they haven't got them any more...

Ralph Santolla autographed the Deicide patch. I still have an Emperor and Hellhammer patch to put on there.

I'll be adding patches to the back real soon...

Looks like nothing really. I've got two coming in a few days, but I'm currently looking for a leather vest so when I find one this will probably not get much attention.

How do you guys put the patches on your jacket? By hand, or with a sewing machine?
Mine are all hand sewn. Took me hours to get the back patch on, the first time I put it on it was too crooked.

I use a sewing machine called "a little sister". She uses her hands, I guess.

We only have on sewing machine and it is broken so I have sewn everything on by hand myself.

I use standard needle and thread for all of mine, as I think that only thing that can properly sew through a lot of the thicker patches is an industrial sewing machine.

Took me about as long to sew on my backpatch as it did to paint it, 4 hours I think. It takes me about an hour a patch for the rest.

My backpatch was sewn on using a sewing machine, and most of the other patches were sewn on using sewing machine as well as hand-stitching a few times over for reinforcement.

edit: our sewing machine is a really old singer from about 1900, you turn it by hand so getting through tough denim is really a case of muscle over matter :P

Mine are all done by my hands. But with the double layers (the leather and the isolating part) it was quite a chore, but it's worth it.

Sweet backpatch. Also those Mortem, Vitus and Witchfinder patches looks awesome.

I just glue my patches on. Sewing is for faggots.

Man, I don't even bother gluing my patches on that's just weak. I just tape a corner of the patch onto the denim, stays on just perfectly.

Thanks for the comments..I appreciate it.

That happens to be the drum set that my band's drummer owns. I'll have to ask him about it. I'm a bass man, sorry. :)

The Nunslaughter back patch is signed by all the current members. I aslo have the following patches that will be sewn on later:

Crucified Mortals - shaped logo patch
Judas Iscariot - logo
Sarcofago - logo
Candlemass - logo
Beherit - logo
Slaughter - shaped logo
Witchfinder General - round logo

I bought all of the patches from Hells Headbangers and Hellride except the Bludwulf patch, MPDS patch, Crucified Mortals patch and Tearstained patch. Reaper(Nunslaughter, Crucified Mortals) gave me the Crucified Mortals patch at the Nunslaughter show I booked last weekend.

Thanks, man. It's pretty easy to find, I think, if you were looking for one.

I think that Pleasure To Kill back patch is pretty common, shouldn't be that hard to find.

Dude, if it's the show I'm thinking of, that was one of the more fucked up fliers I've seen. Happy birthday?

The show was last weekend in Rochester. Rabid, Crucifist, Bludwulf and a couple more performed. Did the flier have an image of a guy being violated with a cross by a demonic girl?

Thanks for the birthday wish. From the sounds of it you are thinking of the same show.
