Can't get the samples to work :(. Its probably better to wait for better quality samples or whatever anyway. I quite enjoyed 'Kill', so I'm looking forward to hearing this.

Sounds decent, pretty similar to "Kill". Gotta give them credit for sticking to their roots after all these years, but still, I'd like to hear a little evolution in the sound.

I skipped Kill but loved The Wretched Spawn. I am digging these samples.

Wow these are rockin'. The Wretched Spawn is the latest of their albums i've heard. I'm not sure why I haven't bought Kill, just not got round to it I guess. I eagerly look forward to seeing them in February (although Children of Bodom are headlining over then :()

Still one of the top Death Metal bands out there :metal:.
But my favorite Era is Vile.

I would have suggested that maybe they've mellowed with age but the song titles put that argument to rest :P

Known for their gory cover art on the albums, I was surprised that Kill was as plain as it was. Alex Webster stated in A Headbangers Journey that if the front of the album wasn't repulsive and shocking than they didn't put out a good cover. So, that would be the example for Kill.

Not bad at all. It doesn't sound any different from the past couple of albums, however. In my estimation, it'll be a solid release.

Yes indeed sounds like it's going to be a pretty solid album, just i hope they change the cover artwork.

The cover is lame, the samples don't impress me. Everything about this album just screams 'generic'. They've done it all before, I'll probably ignore this one.

It's pretty bland in my opinion, but then again, I've never been too big of a Cannibal Corpse fan.

If it sounds exactly like "Kill" (or better) I'll be pleased...

The cover leaves a little to be desired though... though the image quality (for me at least) is kind of shitty....

Regardless, I have faith that I'll enjoy this one...

I really like George Fisher, but Cannibal Corpse's music just doesn't do anything for me at all. Unless they change their style again, I'll probably never spend money on another one of their records.

Cannibal Corpse need a serious make over or they need to stop. One of the two. They are SO incredibly generic.

I really like some Cannibal Corpse stuff, but others are just bland, poor excuses for death metal.

SladeCraven, I don't mean to be a picky douche, but the quote in your sig is backwards...

oh, and Cannibal Corpse bore me, have always bored me and will continue boring me till the day I die.

Well, okay, their first demo was kind of cool, but everything else is just meh.

Sounds like it'll be good.
I'll definitely pick this up, I always enjoy Cannibal Corpse when I wan't something fast, unrelenting, and unchanging. One of those albums that I just listen to all the way through rather than looking at it song-by-song.

Hell yeah I'm so excited for this. Kill is easily their best album to date and Corpsegrinder is on top of his game, love the sound.

Oh god this is awful. Kill was a bad album and the production really killed the enjoyment factor. Why don't CC hang up their boots, they were never good to begin with.

I'm not optimistic at all and the death metal album I'm looking forward to most is Obituary's upcoming album.

Samples sound okay. I really wasn't expecting anything different, and I got nothing different. I'll probably pick this up, but it's just another Cannibal Corpse album.

Cannibal Corpse peaked with their debut, and have had some strong stuff since, but at this point have almost become a parody act. Alex and Paul continue doing the same record and after "Kill" it's hard to really think they've got anything much left.

... Right ... because THEY CREATED THE PARADIGM.

No, I'm not saying they created the death metal paradigm - they created THE CC paradigm.

That people turn around and call the originators generic is silly.

If on top of his game you mean world of warcraft then you would be correct.

Corpsegrinder is an awesome vocalist! I do like Chris Barnes better, but George is still a great vocalist.

I don't know how anyone can say that with a straight face.

Kill had some moments that stood out, not a lot, but it wasn't completely monotone. These previews are, but they are just previews so it would be foolish of me to judge the album based off of them. Still, no high expectations.

the non bias truth and reality is somewhere between the last 2 posts

Cannibal Corpse are a good, solid VERY relevant band.
the best?...nope. but an institution? you betcha.
denial will get you nowhere, they aren't where they are because they are the bottom of the food chain... but i do like some other groups more.

as for this new one: i will like it, it's just a matter of how much, Kill was pretty modern which for me, left an awkward taste for a long time. As long as this one is better than Gallery of Suicide though, i won't complain too much-nor should you, no matter who you might be haha!

Good post. I'm more or less the same: Cannibal Corpse are good, and they're quite influential, but they're not the best band around (at least, I don't think so).

For the record, my favourite is Gore Obsessed, so if Evisceration Plague can be similar to that, then I won't complain too much. Bloodthirst and Kill were good albums, too, and I spin them on occasion. The Wretched Spawn was a little disappointing for reasons I can't explain...maybe it was slower, the riffs were not as good, the songs were more boring? I mean, it's definitely Cannibal Corpse, but there's something a little tainted about that album that I can't put my finger on.

I hate when people make these kind of statements! Its completely up to the individual to make an opinion for themselves. Anyways, I probobly wont buy this album although I do have a copy of the wretched spawn and it is pretty good in my opinion. At the most I will probably download the album at some point.
