Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it doesn't seem like it has.

Basically, do you know of any bands that take their name from the title of an album or song of another artist? For example, the NEScore band 100DEADRABBITS apparently took their name from a song by Agoraphobic Nosebleed (anti-grind people please keep it cool, this was just an example that came to mind).

Not all metal bands who do this borrow their name from solely metal artists. Such is the case with I Shot The Sheriff, who's origin is obvious.

Are there any other bands like this? I think its interesting that some bands do this, let alone if a lot did it.

Well death/grinders Misery Index took their name from the last Assuck album. And I'm pretty sure there's a ton of goregrind bands out there that got their moniker from a Carcass song.

I'm pretty sure Dream Evil took their name from the Dio song of the same name. Also, local Glasgow band Burning Earth are named after the Firewind album. Then of course, we have Through The Eyes Of The Dead, a rather poor deathcore band named after the Cannibal Corpse song Staring Through The Eyes Of The Dead.

Just a couple that came to mind

Running Wild named themselves after the Judas Priest song.

Exciter also got their name from a Judas Priest song. Also I can't be certain but I'd wager Overkill got their name from the Motorhead song.
