Hello, can anyone recommend me a easy to use but also sounds good drum machine?

I use a program called Beatcraft, and it works well. Easy to use, like, too easy, now that I think of it. Sounds good, better than most. If you have time/patience/sanity, you could try to get EZ Drummer and the Drumkit From Hell. (I say this because it's extremely hard to find. After all my searching, I couldn't find it anywhere). I previously had beatcraft but got rid of it because of I didn't know how to change the tempo/time signature on a specific measure without it changing the tempo of the whole song. Do you also have this same problem or have I overlooked some function that allows you to do this?

You can actually change the tempo/time signatures of certain measures only. When you're putting it all into sequence, you can put whatever you desire in order. If I want pattern 1 to be 100 tempo, a 2/4 signature, I'll put it into sequence. Then, I'll click new/copy, make a few changes, whatever, you know, then on pattern 2, if I want 120 tempo, and a 4/4 signature, I'll put it into sequence next, as an example. It takes some getting used to and it's pretty technical, but then again, the drums are a non-linear instrument.

Sorry I forgot about something. You CANNOT change the tempo of the piece. The tempo of the piece is always the same, but however, there are ways of getting by this by simply using the beat/measure to your advantage. In that sense, it works quite the same, it's just not very straight forward, takes a lot more time to figure out. I've been using it for a while, and loads of things are still new to me.

EZDrummer is very easy to use and can sound very good with some minor tweaking and adjustment.

i find using guitar pro 5 is quite good for drumming.
quality's ok if u play around with it for a bit.

Is EZdrummer easy to use for someone who is new to drum machines?

FL studio works fine for me. Great for sequencing...tons of samples to choose from...easy to use as well.
Im not sure if its the best, but Ive gotten so used to it, I cant think of using anything else.

Ahh... I've been wondering about this myself. I use Beatcraft for my side project. It sounds like you're using just about the same setup as I am.

Yeah I wouldn't doubt it. It's a really cool program, and I like it a lot, there's so much to do, to tweak, it's really an immense program, and although immense, remains quite simple. I recommend it to anyone starting up any kind of project.

I agree 100%. I knew nothing about drum sequencing prior to trying Beatcraft and in a matter of days I could program exactly what I wanted to hear without having to dumb it down in even the slightest degree.

Clips? I have a hard time believing your Zoom sounds as good as Superior 2.0.

Can someone recommend me something easy to use for black metal drumming and doesn't cost that much, or lead me to somewhere I can download one.

I recently got Beatcraft and damn, that program is nifty! only like 15 MB of space and it's great... now I'm able to sequence new songs and show them to my drummer.

usin Reason @ the moment, im still a lil lost with it, but me other guitarist is gettin some sweet blasts out ov it!

Just got this myself, previously had EZDrummer and couldn't figure much out. This is much easier, I regret not getting it sooner.

I downloaded a program called Drumsite and it is pretty good. Only problem is that you aren't able to save your work with the trial version.

I dont really like most synthetic drum machines. I use Beatcraft which is better than any other. I also like using the Guitar Pro 5 drums cause you can coordinate the guitar and drums perfectly if you write the guitar tabs down.

For someone looking for something simple and easy that works well, it seems to me that it is the best. Just because EZDrummer worked very well for you doesn't mean it'll work for the rest of us.

Beatcraft ISN'T simple or easy. If you want to program remotely interesting drums its a huge pain in the ass. The sound is extremely bland and the onboard editing options are almost useless.

For programming some simple beats to jam over for personal use, then it works alright, but for anything even remotely professional it falls way short.

Haven't used EZ Drummer before, but Beatcraft is a pain when it comes to programming complex stuff.
