Just download Audacity. You can put music in reverse using that program.

There's a similar thing with Neurosis - Times Of Grace and Tribes Of Neurot - Grace. The albums supposedly complete each other. Did anyone try playing the two together?

Thanks pal, I already own Times Of Grace, does anyone know how to find Grace at a cheap price? I'd like to try that out.

I did years ago, using a 4-track as a mixer. It worked quite well, though I seem to remember struggling to find one consistent volume level, I had to keep altering the volume of Grace in different places.

There are recorded versions available to download if you look for them.

There are quite a few more, I think.

On the subject of Maiden, the backward message on "Piece of mind" by Nicko, something about playing with things you don't understand or whatever.

Is Greg Gardener running the aforementioned store? This looks familiar.

If you are into surreptitious facts - attempt listening to Slayer's "Hell Awaits", which clearly states "su nioJ", while not falling victim to such a precarious ruse.
That's ostensible that the majority of you are already cognizant with that, but I might be in a minority of those who have found it out by themselves.

Every song on Senmuth's "Weird" is either 8:59 or 5:59.

my brother's old band Season of Evil 6th song on their demo was intentionally made to be 6 mins and 6 secs long

the SFU song 4:20 is 4 mins and 20 secs long (and supposedly recorded on April 20 at 4:20 AM)

At the beginning of Still Life, Nicko says (backwards), "Hmm, hmm! Dua too, setty ting, twee bonce. Doooood, man wit ting, una nista" and then burps. That's as much as I could make out.

I dont think its been mentioned but in the song Manitou by Venom. When its played backwards 'Manitou' becomes 'Oh Satan'.

I also just noticed that every track title on Senmuth's "Weird" is the name of a different rune (Ex: Dagaz) as well as having the names for each rune written in the circle on the cover art.

I thought it was pretty neat how SLAYER can stand for "Satan Laughs As You Eternally Rot".

Well, it isn't really metal, but i heard that if you play Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd while watching The Wizard from Oz muted, the songs will fit the movie. I've heard that it's the same thing With Alice in Wonderland and The Wall too.

A few years ago I bought a used copy of Ancient's Det Glemte Riket. The booklet has no lyrics, but when I looked at the hole with the teeth that hold the CD, I could see some letters so I removed the plastic and there were the lyrics for one of the songs. I thought that maybe it comes with a transparent case originally but I doubt that because nothing is written on the side, just plain black.
Did anyone buy this CD and can say if it's transparent or black?
I'm talking about the CD that has the same cover as Trolltaar and features the song Sweet Leaf.

From the additional notes of Morbid Angel's Formulas Fatal to Flesh:

"This is their 6th album. The title refers to the biblical symbol of the
Antichrist. The letter "F" is the 6th letter in the alphabet and the title
contains 3 times the capitalized letter "F"; therefore, the title is a code for
the Number of the Beast."

By the way does anyone know what is said in the beginning of Behemoth's Horns ov Baphomet?

Actually it is in english. The intro to Pentagram is reversed and slowed down. It says :
"There's a sacred city not far from here
Where the Earth is bare and the sky is black"
Which are the first two lines in the lyrics. But I can't understand what he says on the third line.

There's also Cannibal Corpse's Meat hook sodomy which uses the same technique for the intro (reversed and slowed down).
It says something like:
"Dead bodies ____ _____" (there are two words I can't understand)
"On the dead carcasses of your children"

And finally in the outro of Black Sabbath's Am I Going Insane, the screaming devil and laughing part. That screaming devil was actually Ozzy's baby daughter Jessica. They recorded her crying and they slowed it down.

Common knowledge these ones

# The Sabbath song E5150 spells out EVIL in Roman numerals.
# The intro to Metallica's Blackened has been reversed.

Mine's the one with the metal case, just incase that makes a difference.

I'm sure it is Old Norse. That album is based around Old Norse combat myth, anyways. But I don't have it, so I can't be sure.

If the alphabet in the booklet is the same one on the cover (I don't have a copy of the album, but I'm familiar with the cover art), then the answer is that the alphabet is the futhorc, a runic alphabet that was used by the Anglo Saxons (while the alphabet is descended from that used by the Norsemen, it is not quite the same). The runes on the cover spell out "GODS OF WAR". Click here for more information about the futhorc.

Sorted. ;) Thanks.

I just realised something about some Bolt Thrower songs. Their fourth album is called Fourth Crusade and has a title track, there is a song called sixth chapter on their sixth album Mercenary, 7th offensive on their seventh album Honour Valour Pride and the bonus track of their eight album, Those Once Loyal is called Symbol of Eight.

At the end of the song "In Dark Purity" by Monstrosity, someone (most likely Jason) whispers "get the gun, get the gun, shoot shoot shoot", which is a dedication to Ozzy's fiasco with the parents of a kid who shot himself while listening to his song "Suicide Solution", which supposedly had those words subliminally embedded in it.

Yeah, that's verbatim from the m-a page for that album. I took it verbatim because I wrote that snippet on that page. So nyah.
