So some of you know... I played a show with TMPB Live over the weekend :D

We played with a drum machine... And it would have been GREAT if the sound man were worth a shit. He did not mix the drums loud enough in any of the monitors despite the fact that I asked him.. SEVERAL times... to turn the drums up as loud as possible in the monitors. My guitar was miced up but wasn't even in the mix out front. The bass similarly wasn't miced at all.

Being at the mercy of a shitty soundguy SUCKS!!!

That said, the show was pretty fun! Here are the videos:

Not much of a metal scene in your area? I've seen bands terrible in comparison to yours around here pull out bigger crowds. Even my old band, who fucking sucked, played a larger crowd. None the less very great music and hopefully people in your area start catching on. Oh and one last thing who is TMPB?

Thanks... There are a few factors as to why the show was pretty empty... The scene is pretty abysmal for real metal, theres a huge gas shortage, it was a Christian venue, and the headliner band was some deathcore shit.

TMPB is the acronym for The Matt Parsons Band. It's my solo project, I write and record all the music myself, and then my friends and I take it live.

:durr: Not sure why I didn't make that connection. For some reason I kept thinking it was an acronym for the band you were opening for.

Did you use thin picks for your tremolo picking, Matt?

Just kidding, I enjoyed all of the videos above. Keep it up. I must say you have pretty good screaming vocals, and the keyboards sound awesome.

Thanks for checking it out! I was using my standard Jazz IIIs. Maybe if they were called "Metal IIIs" people would use them more :p The keyboardist is GREAT... one of the most talented musicians I know. He's also a killer singer, and for the band we're starting he's going to be doing lead vocals.

He's got an American Fender Strat with a Duncan Distortion bridge pickup. Amp is a Peavey 5150 through a Marshall 212 with V30s
