Formed in 1996 in Longueuil (South shore of Montreal, Canada), Paroxysm has forged its place in Quebec's metal scene. Having defined and refined its own musical style, the band has naturally evolved on the fringe of commercial trends. Paroxysm chiefly writes and performs death metal while also taking an influence from black metal and grindcore, as whether it is old school or modern, groove and intensity are what ultimately matters with this group. The band’s third album is entitled VORACITE, and they have once again teamed up with Jean-Philippe Latour (Studio En-Phase) to create their finest work yet. It sports a genuine, real sound, as it was produced in a way that left room for imperfections (like in the good old days) so that it remains true to the band's organic dynamics. The result: it will obliterate the senses, leaving you with a fervent desire for more.

However, times are quite a lot different these days for musicians, especially among underground bands. We want to make a physical pressing of the newest album, and the current state of the music scene is such that to do so works best by asking you to contribute directly to this project. We want to release the album on CD and perhaps vinyl if we have reached the threshold of support to do so, and consequently we ask you to make a donation in order to make the dream of a CD and possibly vinyl release of VORACITE come true.
