Could anyone give me a quick fix on a Yngwie like tone with a Vox ST? I've tried for hours but come up abrasive. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Most of the Yngwie sound is in his guitar, set up, and playing style. I believe he uses .008 gauge strings, super high action, and a strat with DiMarzio single coils. After that, I'm sure a moderate amount of gain will get you where you want.

Got the high action, Playing style and the strat with ...well 9's. I guess It is more those things then amp settings. I really like playing my rhoades jacson better than the strat but I usually use a JB in the neck for those type of leads. Got any advice for those consistenly up sweeped arppegios? I've been learning blitzkrieg and seem to be totally thwarted by that part! Thanks Matt.
