Been working on this, thought I'd share it here. The "Introspection" part might be removed and then worked into a future song, but this is what I have so far. The lyrics are growled, as they are for my Melodic Death Metal band.

Sorta cheesy, but I can see these being the lyrics to a Children of Bodom song or something. I think they fit the Melodic Death Metal genre rather well, however.

Sorry if I come across like an asshole but this is kind of generic. this song has been written thousands of times by a hundred different bands. You don't seem like a bad lyricist, though. Maybe just try writing about something more original. And yeah I agree that this would work well with melodic death metal.
