I'm nearing a final mixing. thank god.

Finished recording tonight and will start mixing tomorrow. Ended up ditching the keyboards entirely and added some extra guitar stuff instead.

Recorded all the 3 songs 3 weeks ago... And as it usually happens the last day is on rush. Waiting for 2 of my helpers to come and record their vocal lines. The good part is that already got a name for the project. Decided to name it Historian. At least the entire EP is based on 3 different stories about Vikings, Middle east ancient gods and far, far east Japan history

Ahhh, it's 6 AM and everything is done except for the lyrics and vocals.. Wouldn't be TOOO upset if there was a 2-ish day extension, but that would probably ruin the "challenge" part of it.

Got smashed with work and couldn't do much, I wrote a song but no time to record for this challenge. Well, maybe I'll record it another time... sad!

Don't worry, I'll extend it accordingly tomorrow.

I suggest every participant submit at least a rough mix of his own song before tomorrow midnight (when the coach turns into a pumpkin again).

I'd rather you send the complete version, personally, although submissions of any kind are certainly encouraging.
I realised about halfway into this challenge how little time I actually gave for it. Last years doom challenge lasted twice as long in comparison.

I'm doing a newer mix right now and I'll be set. my first one has the toms peaking a bit

My theme has proven to be a real shitter. It sucks when you have so many ideas and don't know what to do because they're all wildly different interpretations that call for different musical approaches. Oh well, looks like I'm going to need some instrumental help with this (vocals, most importantly) if I'm going to submit anything.

I've got some extra time this Sunday, so I could help with vocals if necessary.

I finished the rough mix of my two songs, which I'm going to submit to Syntek.

If anyone is willing to help me with detailed mixing, please let me know as soon as possible. Otherwise, I will have to do it myself, but since I'm working on other projects of mine at the moment, I probably won't finish on time.

I'm not asking any additional delay here, as the rough mix quality of my songs is largely decent enough for my own criteria - which may not be shared by everyone on this board.

At the moment I'm listening to "An Affair" (my second song) and I think the rough mix is just fine.

I finally managed to complete both songs on time. I remixed "Large Cigar". Thanks to Mr Corpsefister for remixing "An Affair". Both songs were submitted to Syntek.

Alright, due a few requests, a one day extension has been made, to squeeze some extra tracks in.
The compilation will be posted on the 20th, and no later.

Can't we just post each our own songs online on the thread? It's a bit tedious to download the whole compilation and unzip it, plus I'm quite short on disk-space.

Stop complaining you can delete it after you are done.
