Very soon, I'll be getting back into the adventures of recording vocals...

I stepped up from using dynamic microphones in the studio, to a self-powered condenser mic (due to not having phantom power on my interface). It's very sensitive, which is awesome, but I don't think I've found that "sweet" spot yet.

It's a step up from our first EP, but I think I messed up the vocals with reverb.

Any tips on warming up the vocals with EQ or some other method? I'm thinking the distance from the mic and placement (up or down) might make a difference...
