This band please

http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Hellias/29727

I'd even be willing to submit the CD's, which I went through great pains to acquire.

Guys,

It would be great if someone here reviews the recently released ÆRA's EP (pagan black metal with some atmosphere). Anyone can download it from our Bandcamp site here:

https://aera33.bandcamp.com/album/of-forsworn-vows

Thanks in advance.

I would be very grateful to anyone that would like to review The Weight of Time by the thrash metal group, Incredulous. It's a four song demo that is all D.I.Y. and independent.

A few years ago I reviewed Quiet Riot's debut record from 1977, and to this day there still aren't any other reviews for it. Any chance someone else could write another? I'd love to hear some other opinions on it, or to see if others enjoy it as much as I do. Or even perhaps someone who doesn't like it?

I dare someone to track down Dragonlance's 2nd album, Shadow of the Elder Titans and review it.

I'm not doing it myself, because I already reviewed the debut and it was definitely not worth the price. And of course, I want to hear the opinion of a person that listens to more metal and can write better than I do.

But as a reward, it would be great for the virgin challenge! ;)

also i'm looking back at my old review and dying inside because of how terrible it is so maybe if you want to do that one too i'd be willing to rip the files from the cd and post to youtube

Requested a review for FERAL LIGHT - A Sound of Moving Shields a while ago, but haven't seen one yet. Now that the review challenge is back, this would be a golden opportunity for anyone who wants to review a virgin album.
https://ferallight.bandcamp.com/releases

Also, if it's not asking too much, here are a couple other albums from some projects I participated in a couple years ago. All feedback is appreciated.

Hey y'all, it's Review Challenge Week and as luck would have it, the record my friends and I made came out last week and is still a virgin. Sounds like a miiiiighty fine time to click that link in my sig for a free album to review.

I'm not gonna lie, Walking On The Sun was my jam back in the day, but fucking All-Star, jesus christ Stairway To Heaven, Iron Man, Whole Lotta Love, Enter Sandman and Freebird combined wasn't as overplayed as that song was. If I had access to weapons I probably would have killed all the members of the band after it showed up in the ending to Rat Race.

Dammit, TrooperEd took the album's virginity before I could. Mid-way through writing the review. I guess I'm doing a different hole.

One thing I want to say. In response to both reviews, which say something about the brutal death vocals sounding unfitting on "Beliefs Turn to Bone": I heard that riff and while the writer tomcat_ha disagreed with me (I think he said he was aiming for sludge), I thought it sounded kind of like a Morbid Angel/Lykathea Aflame breakdown - like halfway through the Lykathea Aflame song "Sadness and Strength", for example. So that's what I was trying to channel there.

That being said, both reviews seem like fair assessments of the quality of the album as a whole. It probably won't come to anybody's surprise that I absolutely love the thing, considering it was made by me + a dozen close friends.

I just got really sick of the whole "lets have both a clean and distorted vocalist in our band" schtick that it seems like every modern band is doing. I understand that its fitting different pieces of music together but thats what it reminded me of. Also, I specifically mentioned Chris Barnes because the vocals are doing this really indecipherable growling that just sounds like tongue swirling. Say what you will about David Vincent, but most of the time you could understand him.

Like I said in the review, it's a nifty concept and I salute you for attempting such an idea, I just didn't think it turned out great.

I think calling it a "shtick" is a little off base because that seems to imply we had some sort of goal of attracting fans of both styles, which was never the case. But hey, we all knew it was a clusterfuck so not liking it is neither shocking nor offensive, we adore it anyway.

Also for what it's worth, that Beliefs Turn to Bone riff was always referred to as the "caveman riff" by tomcat. So whatever caveman metal is to you, that's what that riff was aiming for.

But don't albums count as virgins as long as they have no reviews at the start of the challenge, regardless of how many reviews they get during the challenge?

Greetings all. I recently released my debut album 'Empyrean Fracture' for my atmospheric black metal project Hyperborean Skies.

https://hyperboreanskies.bandcamp.com/a ... n-fracture

It has influence from several different subgenres of black metal, and I'd love to see some reviews for it!

I don't normally participate in this thread, but I'm genuinely curious about folks' thoughts on this:

Music inspired by/based on themes from the movie Prometheus.

Hi all, I wonder what reviewers here think about this album from my own band Liquid Flesh:
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Liquid_Flesh/Spontaneous_Liquefaction/598904

It's death metal inspired by horror movies and books. We started this project just for fun but it escalated quickly, we made some shows in france and italy, then we recorded an album, and unfortunately we disbanded just after releasing it, so we haven't got much feedback about it.

You can listen/download it here:
https://soundcloud.com/liquid-flesh/sets/spontaneous-liquefaction

Thanks !

Hi guys!

I wonder if anyone would like to take this album's virginity. Old school death metal act from Thailand, Oldskull:

https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/O ... ath/603308

https://inhumanassault.bandcamp.com/alb ... l-of-death

Ignore the price on that Bandcamp's link. The label just put it to make the album could go up through Bandcamp, well that was what he said.

Hi.

We are a Doom metal duo from Victoria Australia and we've just released a self-produced EP 'Reflection' on the 18th of August.

We also have an album released in November last year, 'Aeons Collapse', which is a little different in style.

We were hoping to get it reviewed by anybody with an interest in Doom, and would appreciate all feedback both positive and negative.

Thanks!

I was wondering if someone would be so kinda to review our new demo. We play Black metal and are from Canada looking for ANY feedback on the music. You can find it here:
https://themausoleum.bandcamp.com/album/pride-torment

Basically we try and be a bit progressive adding dissonance, black metal riffing and even a tad bit of thrashing riffs to create a cohesive whole. This demo is a bit more straightforward and heavy and has a touch of Drudk in one of the tunes. Check us out!
