Tell me, after reading say... every fucking review in existence, tell me what they talk about when reviewing an album. The cellophane and the tinting on the fucking jewel case? Or do every single one of them talk about lyrics, musical qualities, production, and everything else that relies on one sense: audial. Visual imagery can be used to make a review more descriptive and interesting, but what would that imagery be based on? What the reviewer is hearing. What is the purpose of an album? To convey the music, and you're ignorant beyond words to even attempt to establish any importance of some liner notes or artwork in lieu of the music. I could go on for days, but jackassitis may have too firm of a grip on you.



Are you dumb, deaf, or blind? A vast majority of releases are at cd quality, and it's known fact that though there's loss between 320kbps and 192kbps, it is not detectable by human hearing. That's the truth, that's what's relevant to reviewing an album, and you're flat out wrong.



There's this great source of information you're ignoring. It's called the internet. And a small subsection specifically relevant to what you pointed out. It's called this fucking website. Your delusion is only exceeded by your ignorance.



The fact that English is your second language really glares here. But at any rate that's a highly subjective and abstract opinion, and holds even less water that the other garbage you choose to spew. At this point, the advice to "abandon ship" is pretty redundant. You made one intelligent admission. That's like the common adage about chocolate cake and shit: who cares, it's still shit.

Well that's something to say. Thank you for the feedback but this comment strikes me a bit off... (Further on it later).

Black metal is definitely NOT my thing, out of the hundreds of albums I've listened to I think there is three bands I highly enjoy. My reviews for black metal are shit I admit it. Atleast I tried. (as you can see I've also given up. ).

But to say you think I've downloaded everything I have reviewed... wow! I own 249 CDs, I own over 2,000 MP3s (purchased downloads) and yes I admit I have downloaded a lot. *looks back at what I reviewed* I own the actual CDs of exactly half of what I have reviewed.

Huh? I suppose you are talking pricing for a CD? Well, a $10 CD shipped from the US to overseas for $15 is actually fairly cheap. Did I miss something though? I thought it was a good deal for 60 minutes of professionally-produced and package music (16-page color booklet) mailed over seas. Isn't that actually kinda cheap? In my experience it is, but ordering in bulk saves not just a few bucks.

Thats a ridiculous statement. A CD is 60-minutes of music, atleast mine are. They aren't product to be reviewed, they are, like anything you buy in the store for MORE money and sometimes less QUALITY, a listening experience.

I suppose it would an entirely different story if I was a major label act selling my CD for $20 worldwide?

I either missed your point or entirely disagree with your line of commentary. No where is it indicated you are buying a CD to review. Of course, getting critiques, reviews, comments and whatnot is a beneficial aspect, but GENERALLY institutions and people that do reviews get FREE PROMO copies.

I was planning on the two Morte Incandescente albums, The Funeral Orchestra might fit in there. I have five or six reviews that need to be completed anyway.

No one has reviewed Summoning-Oath Bound yet and I don't have the enough writting skills to put in paper how great it is. So, yeah, someone qualified needs to do it.

Summoning is one of those bands I don't think I'll ever attempt to review, it's just too unique to be fully complimented by words.

i found the current 2 reviews averaging out to 85% to be misleading when i acquired the album. and this needs to be fixed! but Love For Sale is a great song.... so take time out of your music listening period to put up a single review that will leave one little MA user feeling bright, fulfilled, and boner prone.

Even though it has a ton of reviews already, I'd like to see a Ride the Lightning review from Pyrus, as well as a review for Shovel Headed Kill Machine.

I would be interested in seeing a well-written review for Agalloch - Pale Folklore that doesn't praise it to death. Curently 10 reviews with an average of 99%. Needs another point of view.

I could review Pale Folklore, as I did The Mantle last week, but

- I myself think it's a good album, quite better than The Mantle, (I'd rate it around 85%) so my opinion won't certainly really differ from other reviewers'
- I gave it to my brother a few weeks ago and I surely won't get it back before at least next month
- most important of all, you're asking for a GOOD REVIEW so I don't think I'm the man

Someone definately has to get a hold of the new celtic/pagan metal band Eluveitie's new release "Spirit". I have only heard a number of mp3's merely from their myspace site and their main page.. but my god they sound fucking incredible!!

Metal Church's new album could use a review, I've yet to hear it and don't know when I'll be able to, so it'd be nice to have some description to go on.
