As the subject says. The album is Stardust on Cosmic Tapestry by AeonSphere.
We werewriting and producing this for 14 years, the recordings and mixing/mastering took 4 years alone. Hearing the comments from acquaintances or friends don't do justice because they might be highly biased. Needing a review from a "third party", a metalhead that does not know me or anybody from the band. Would appreciate all comments.
thanks

He should be around within this forum from time to time, but if you want to be sure he reads your message I suggest sending him a PM.

Or try the Request A Review Thread. That's a good place to request a review:

Sorry, been off the forum for the past few days. I'm currently on assignment writing on the Summer Breeze Brazil 2024 festival, so the earliest I could do a review would be after the weekend. I'll check out the album and see what I can do.

Many thanks. And remember, you don't know me, you don't owe me :D, so be your regular self and review as you would do normally.

 Don't worry, all my opinions are honestly intended, even though they are more often positive than not. You're actually more likely to get a positive score out of me by not knowing me personally based on how some of my past associations have gone down. I've listened to the album once and it sounds like you were going for a similarly epic and frosty blend of melodic death and symphonic power metal that my old band Frost Giant was going for when we recorded The Harlot Star. It may be a few more days, I got tapped to write for the Saxon/Uriah Heep tour that's moving through my area in Pennsylvania on Thursday, but I'll get to it.

yes epicness is our primary goal. I didn't know there would be any other band that mixes power metal singing with extreme (black/death) metal. Gotta check that Frost Giant out.
I listened the Ominous Glory btw, and the singer dude sounds like Tobias Sammett himself would want to pop out of the speakers... :D also there are badass acoustic arpeggio sections! This is very cool.

Our (Ominous Glory's) vocalist Rek Anthony is a true old school metal guy, his old band Breaker (I think they were called Iron Head at the time) opened for Iron Maiden for a few Canadian dates during the Killers tour back in 1981. I was amazed with how adaptive his voice was, he hit every insane high note that I wrote for him.

As for Frost Giant, The Harlot Star was more the singer Matt's baby, he's a huge Wintersun fan and his cleaner vocals imitate Jari's mid-ranged, gruffy vocal style. I played and wrote much of what is on the first half of the album, but the recording sessions were an utter mess and I started having problems personally with Matt (he fired our drummer Rich on a whim and decided to try and get me to foot the bill to pay a session drummer, which I refused to do, then he and Scott tried micromanaging everything I recorded) so I left the band and he brought in another guy to record over some of my parts (2 guitar solos of mine were deleted and he threw a bunch of goofy noodling over my song Apostasis that drowns out much of the music). It's all water under the bridge for me at this point, but the album is pretty schizophrenic, and it's mostly due to extra stuff that Matt decided to add while in the studio. They just put out an EP last year that is one of the worst produced albums I think I've heard. lol
