Has anyone else had this happen? I was checking the description for the Witchtrap "Witching Metal" MCD they put out, and after reading it a few times it seemed very familiar. I slowly realized that they stole a few things from my review of "Sorceress Bitch", almost verbatim. I'm not really pissed about it, actually a bit honored. I was just wondering if this is commonly how they get their album descriptions, and if it has happened to anyone else?

It's pretty common. The oft-cited example is Red Stream who used to take descriptions all the time. A number of other distros do too.

Thats kind of lazy. I would expect the people who run a smallish outfit like Hellsheadbangers to be into the material enough to come up with their own descriptions.

I had part of my mastery review on the plastic wrapping on Mastery's CD. I was surprised as I am not the best writer though still quite flattered.

Something similar happened to me. Zemial from Greece quoted a short part of a review for their new Digipack. Didn't bother me, actually felt honored. But Vorskaath does know that it was written by me, so maybe that's a different story.
