Hey guys i know this might seem obvious or straightforward but to me this requires clarification.

when adding lyrics to a bands albums should i follow the punctuation and capitalization of the album or should i repair or approximate it as best as i can guess?

there are many albums which have lyrics that either have incorrect, confusing, or just simply don't have punctuation whatsoever.
The bigger issue is albums that display all their lyrics in all caps; I don't know if i should be adding these lyrics as they appear or if i should write them in low caps because all caps looks sloppy.

Can anybody enlighten me and maybe forward this suggestion to high up moderators so this kind of information can be added to the help section of the site?

If you are willing to put the time and effort in to properly format and punctuate lyrics, by all means go ahead. Go ahead and fix obvious typos as well, but do realize that most users don't. If you don't have enough site access (points) to re-edit them yourself, just flag a report with the amended lyrics and we can do it for you (you still get points).
