I don't even know if this is the correct place to post this...
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Demetori/3540344021

Well this douji project WAS in the archives one month ago. I knew this because I did a huge update to the discography. Today I saw it in the newly-added band list. This means it was deleted some time back and then re-added. What is the point of doing this? This band has a huge discography. Don't want to add them one by one.

Is it possible that there is an archive of the old Demetori page? Perhaps that could be restored?

It seems to have been deleted by Morrigan due to being video game cover band. Unless it has been proven that they have their own material, it should be deleted again.

Nope, it was purged, and yes, it's a cover band. Deleted again and blacklisted.

Ah, didn't notice that it was a cover band. That's what the blacklist is for, folks. :P

Metal?... Physical release?...

None of this releases are Physical or even Metal, Demos were completly Noisy and Improvized, also they were digital and the i googled "Konyec" and there only apeared free downloads, there's no proof of physical release or even metalness. Also Konyec is very far in metal, like the demos.

Noisy? Yes. Metallic? Yes. I'm hearing a variety of influences, but the bulk of the music is predominantly metallic enough.

Not so much a why was the band added, but why were this bands releases added. I noticed the Fan Can series have been added on Metallica's page. The Fan Can series is a group of bootleg recordings released through the bands fan club. They are not considered official releases by the band, and as such should not be considered as part of the bands discography.

Deleted and added a warning, because I remember deleting them once before.

EDIT: Okay, it was a report about adding them, but still, a warning can't hurt.

That's one song and a split (probably). Maybe the full-length is metal enough? It wasn't out yet when it was approved, though. Still, I'd like to hear more samples from other releases.

He didn't, he just linked to the pictures of the box full of CDs, so I figured "Hey, that looks damn available!"... never occurred to me that they're still unavailable...

Deleted until the CD's actually announced as "for sale".

Shroud of the Heretic can be restored - the CDs are now available for purchase from the band: viewtopic.php?p=2055427#p2055427

(jtgilmore13 is the band member whose messages I screencapped a while back.)

MMM, that sounded metallic enough to my ears. Radio-friendly, yes, but definitely enough metal riffs.

Iron Attack! and MyonMyon should be removed. They are cover bands of Touhou music. The following pages detail the original songs (from various Touhou games) which they re-arranged.
http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/MyonMyon
http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/IRON_ATTACK!
The two bands never wrote their own music.

Dunno about MyonMyon, but Iron Attack's self-titled album is fully comprised of original material, so they can probably stay.

Yes, Iron Attack! should stay. I listened to their self-titled album and it's indeed not a cover album of Touhou music. But MyonMyon should definitely go. All their 5 releases are cover albums. I double checked it this time.

Also someone should warn user oogboog. He labeled Iron Attack!'s self-titled album as an instrumental one. But in fact, except the first track, all other tracks have female vocals! This is a special album of Iron Attack!. Here is the third track from the album. You can also download it here.

I think Crying Destiny was also labeled as instrumental at one point, despite the fact that it isn't.

If I may ask, what was the proof of physical release provided for this band? I'm friends with the guy behind the whole thing and as far as I know (I talk to him practically everyday) he hasn't released anything on CD or tape yet.

There was a posting on his Facebook wall: "Finishing up the demo tomorrow. Also, if you're going to the Fleshgod Apocalypse show on the 8th, keep an eye out for Markov, he's going to be giving away free CD-R's of Eternium's demo." From what I understand now in hindsight, he did not end up going; so the project is removed.

Found another touhou music cover band: Dark Phoenix. Info about the original touhou songs can be found here. Note the discography section does not include Witch Clock, but this is also a cover album, see here (says All sounds composed by ZUN / 上海アリス幻樂団 - who is the mastermind behind the touhou project). The above link I mentioned neither mentions the original songs arranged by Dark Phoenix in Sound-0 Phase-11. This is also a touhou cover. Look at the cover art - the two girls are Youmu and Yuyuko!

...Just out of curiosity, what is the deal behind all these Touhou bands? It seems like there are more of them than there are Metallica cover bands! Why such popularity?

Seriously, Touhou music is really fucking awesome. Just look at this (possibly incomplete) list of Touhou cover bands. Safely speaking, there are more than 1,000 of them (bands, not albums!). And these bands play all genres of music, not just metal. If you never listened to the Touhou original music, then personally I highly recommend you to have a try.

I know there are more Touhou covering bands in the Archives. If rules are to be kept, they shall all perish. However, MyonMyon, which I reported a few days ago, is still here. Maybe the mods want them to stay because of the awesomeness of the Touhou music? :-P

Had a quick listen to a few tracks, but I have to say that even though I'm a chiptune fan and the compositions are admittedly good, the sound just doesn't do it for me. Obviously chiptune is allowed to be a bit on the "cheap" side, but this is just too much for my taste. I appreciate it if the musicians manage to make the chips sound like "more than they are", if you will. Or maybe it's just because I'm a C-64 fan and this sounds more NESsy. ;)

Still, it's not without interest. I could see myself listening to well-done covers of this stuff.

Edit: I see it isn't all chiptune (maybe I had the wrong stuff in the first place, anyway?) but the stuff that isn't sounds even cheaper to me.

I'm not entirely familiar with the specifics of the worldwide distribution rule. In case it means the record should be available in practically any country (excluding the extremities), Ninkharsag should not be on the archives. http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Nin ... 3540333264

The demo does not ship to Finland at least.
