Perhaps a moderator should review Wrath of the Weak. It's black metal esque ambient, and based on listening to their three full-lengths, the music doesn't really have any kind of guitar riffs. Just a noisy wall of guitars and synth melodies.

The third album can't be found on youtube, but it's even more noisy and less black metal like. I can upload any of the albums if need be.

Primitive, badly produced and borderline, definitely, but it still sounds rather black metal more than ambient.

I have danzig's on a wicked night single with different b-side (black candy) and cover. Is it considered a separate release or something mentioned in the additional notes?

Ok. Do you have any idea of the release date? Was it prior to May 25th, 2010?

Additional notes, in that case. The entry for the CD version that's already in the site is wrong. Add the information of your version to the first single. I will take care of the CD version later.

I think this band should also be removed. Mistel Fjell. Not metal in my view. Too much drone and other stupid stuff but certainly not metal.

Um to be fair this IS the thread about users giving their opinions on bands they think don't belong...

I've deleted it. Indeed mostly ambient/drone/noise.

Identical releases, I believe only having a re-release of material from the band's previous name means Tristesse should be removed? Odd that the two bands are labeled with completely different genres.

Well, only having a demo isn't reason in and of itself to have the band deleted...did Abrogar release this demo (or any other releases which aren't listed) on CD or cassette tape?

Heresy ( http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Heresy/3540358287 ) hasn't released "Worldwide Inquisition" yet. They only have it for streaming on their bandcamp and can't be downloaded ( http://heresycr.bandcamp.com/ )

Also, the physical version isn't ready yet, according to the band: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =1&theater

I've deleted Kelly McKee after BastardHead brought him up. What the fuck? Random guitar noodling, not metal at all. Those "XYZ shreds" videos contain better guitar playing...

With that said, you should listen and read the stuff on his page anyway. It's a comedy goldmine.

I've nuked Hroptatyr (the black metal one from Germany). The tape was never released, only given to a couple of acquaintances.

Not sure if these guys have been brought up before since I'm not too great at using the search, and they're one a pretty major label so I'd expect someone to have checked them out at some point, but Disperse. http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Disperse/3540334963

Seems to me to be pretty much Animals as Leaders with some vocals. Based of admittedly limited looks at the full lengths, maybe the demo is metal or something, but it seems like melodic djent.

There's a report asking for this to be changed from "Technical/Experimental Death Metal" to "Progressive Metal/Sludge" or "Progressive Sludge Metal".
It's nu metal.

Corroosion was added in 2006, the only release the band had as of 2006 was a demo that appears to have been under the name "Hekatomb". Their material since then has been deathcore, which has some death metal, but it seems to be at least 50% more or less right out of the book of The Acacia Strain, with a bunch of blast beats and trem picking between the breakdowns and chugga-chugga parts.
http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Cor ... iscography

I can't find the 2007 EP, but the 2008 EP is pure deathcore with almost no metal at all.

2008 "Two Steps Before the Vein"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kS2-Dl72pdE

2010 "Punish the Mind"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFrJBKazmuc

2012 "Dirt Awareness"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLrTvmRQUfQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puTV9UMYxbo

If this material is deemed unacceptable, I believe the entry should be renamed to Hekatomb and only the demo left, with the status as "changed name".
