Can Order of the Owl be unblacklisted? They released their single sometime ago as a 7".

Give me a while, we'll listen to them again before. Derigin has the files and he'll share them with me. I don't remember their sound haha.

Blacklist note says "punk/alternative".

Ex Animis Mortuum was rejected (proof of metalness). All information is correct (PiotrB wrongfully removed drummer on the first submission). I have provided two additional links to songs for proof of validity. Ep was physically released in 2010 on cd (through the band) and cassette (through my label - Autumn Gate Productions).

I'd appreciate if someone could take a look for me and sort this out. Thanks.

"Encyclopaedia Metallum was forced to reject your submission for the band Vacant Throne (United States), for the following reason:

Can you please provide proof of a physical (Tape, CD, Vinyl, etc.) release?"

I already put in the submission notes their site that you can buy the physical copy on. What more do I need? A picture of the CD or something? I resubmitted with the direct link from the site to buy the album, is that enough or should I pull it and add something else?

I don't know why it was rejected, to be honest. It should have been fine. Apparently the moderator overlooked the link. Another user's submission was accepted before you resubmitted your draft. Sorry about that.

As I tried to insist.
I sumbitted the ban Engdroth 3 times with the same proof link photo.
OpsiusCato never told me that the link doesn't worked, he just rejected it again and again.
The last time I sumbitted he said that the link doesn't worked, then before I sumbit with a TinyPic image again he Blacklisted it.

Anyaway I will not discuss this mess again as Engdroth has a physical release:

Immortally_Insane,
I restored your version of the band page, and awarded you the full points for it.

Along with when it was submitted, normally we go for the band submission that is most fully informed, though sometimes that may be accidentally overlooked. Apologies. Please don't let this be a stain on your willingness to help contribute to the site.

I tried to add Vaginula; a Dutch Ambient/Black Metal project. However it got rejected for being completely ambient.

The band has three releases so far:
Demo - 2008 - Winter Ablaze - Black Metal
Originally released as a limited cd-r release; but it can now be found on bandcamp
http://vaginula.bandcamp.com/album/winter-ablaze

Demo - 2009 - Through The Womb Of Perdition - Dark Ambient
Vaginula's only Dark ambient release in the form of a tape demo. Can also be found here
http://vaginula.bandcamp.com/album/thro ... -perdition

Demo - 2010 - Visions Of A Silent Slumber - Black Metal
The third demo, currently not online on bandcamp, but a sample can be found here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJEnWA-RzVA

First of all, as far as I was concerned, you submitted the band three times without any proof of physical release. If the link the submitter provides is not working the result is the same as if you didn't provide any proof. It is up to you, the user, to check that all the info/proof/links work properly.

The first time I rejected it, you resubmitted it not even ten minutes later, adding only a note that said "next time read". The second time I rejected it, it was the same. No real changes in the submission, and resubmitted a few minutes later. I asked other mods to check the link you provided, and we all just saw a dead link.

That's the reason for the triple rejection. The music is acceptable. The picture you provided this time is okay-ish. Please, take another picture of Engdroth's release in which the CD is clearly seen, along with the cover and case, and post it here. After I take a better look at the release, I'll let you know when I remove it from the blacklist.

Anyway I provided with label info and the picture on facebook three times... nevermind, I don't like to discuss.

That photo was from Count Shannath's member. I ordered that CD one week ago to Smell the Stench, anyway I expect to get the copies on one month. So you'll need to wait them.

Have a Nice Day

A link that did not work. Get this through your thick skull. When will people stop linking to private Facebook content and act surprised when we can't see it, and then bitch and moan that we're being unfair?

No, unfair is that he never told me that the link could't work. Anyway I didn't knew that his facebook was not public he at least could tell me to upload it to tinypic or anything else.

If the submission gets rejected, it means that what you submitted is not ok/not enough/not working. I'm not your nanny, you should have checked what was wrong instead of just adding "next time read".

EDIT: And I did tell you to provide pictures of the release.

The band Helmintophobia was rejected, but why?
We released this weekend our demo, and two of the demo songs will be also released as a split in september with Blodimys from the US.

Why was the band Taurus denied? To me they seemed more metal than other drone doom acts such as Nadja and Sacrificial Totem. I heard them for the first time last night when they opened for Agalloch, and they certainly appeared to be objectively a metal band.

Here's a sample of the band.
http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2 ... eases.html

I second this. I'm not sure why Taurus is blacklisted. Sounds like drone/sludge metal with elements of doom. The strongest influences I hear are Neurosis and Sunn 0))), both of whom are on MA. Furthermore, even if they aren't categorized as metal for some strange reason, shouldn't they be added via the "side projects rule," since Stevie Floyd's other band, Dark Castle is on MA?

I resubmitted Helmintophobia.
Maybe it was rejected cause i added the demo and full length which are already recorded but which will be released in november this year,
But the first demo is released last weekend as you can see, you can order the demo on the myspace for the price of 2 EUR!!!
So buy it!!

No, it's because there's still no clear indication that the demo isn't an mp3-only release. You need to supply us with photographs of the actual CD.

Example 1
Example 2

Snap jij het? :p

As Azmodes asked:

Proof of metalness for the band Souverain (Canada): http://youtu.be/zbJFZgi1rVA and http://youtu.be/N0MEscF19Xo

Proof of the existence of a metal release: http://souverain-milicegauloise.blogspot.ca/

I was asked to provide proof for the tape version as well, but that I can't because it is not out yet, I only know it will be released soon, as said on the band's website. The CD-R is sold out but apparently some new copies are made ''on demand''.

I have an object for the rejection of the band "Metal Cambra". I have to show a proof of physical release.

The last paragraph of this piece of news (in Spanish):

Quote:

Translation (forgive my level of English):

It's possible to buy the pack of CD + t-shirt 'Concertual' + plate. Price: 15 euros.
Also, you can buy the items to the musicians or in shows.

Thanks.

Tried to add the band Vaginula, which is Blacklisted, why?

The band released three demo's so far, the first being very distinct Black Metal, the second being Dark Ambient and the third, as far as I know, Black Metal again - judging by the sample on the official website...

http://vaginula.bandcamp.com/album/winter-ablaze - their first demo, which was released as a cd-r

Edit: just noticed somebody else brought it up a few posts above me..

With the help of Nightgaunt, I judged them to be black metal enough to be in the Archives, I'll remove them from the blacklist in a moment.

Ok, I'll check it now.

EDIT: The band is now in MA. Thank you for your collaborative effort.

No. Doesn't strike me as decisively metallic.
