I cannot change the pictures of band on their profiles though Iam already Veteran.
I tried to exchange the picture of a band for not being actual, but unsuccessfully.

What can be the problem in ?

...or simply open the frame in a separate window and click "refresh". Works for me when I update band pics or logos.

Unless you mean that the MA says that there's something wrong with your pic, in which case it's usually too large, the max size is 100 kb. Resize it to a smaller size with some piece of software.

Hello

just to know, where has gone my topic about Hunok origin?

Sorry for bug was posted twice, I could not delete

Just to get an answer from a mod and I'll not ask anymore

Why suddenly origin (Miskolc - Hungary) changed to Germany - Frankfurt

If band formed in Hungary and then moved to Frankfurt = Hungarian band

If formed in germany by Gábor Zselencz who's Hungarian => German band

sorry to annoy

Gábor

Yes, you are right in concern ot the country of origin, but both the current and former city of residence can be shown in the location field. It would probably be useful tohave a special "current residence filed" in the new version of the site.

So what do now? put back Hungary ? and add (early) - Frankfurt, Germany (now)

I wish I see this interview in Stygian Shadows Fanzine 15 and about origin (if created in Hungary or Germany)

So I did as you had adviced to me. It seems that everything is all right now.
But there is another problem here.
I have updated band Antheom from my country several times- the prime picture of the band was changed for not being actual.
It was done repeatedly by me,because I was not satisfied with too small size of the pictures.I was looking and trying but I did not find any suitable photo.
I also do not know how to modify the size of pictures.

Now I am afraid of losing my points for unneeded updating.

Use Paint to smallen picture under 100 kb. It does perfectly the trick, very easy to use.
There are some pictures whose size can be highly reduced without smallening them. Open the picture with Paint, just save it without doing anything. It'll work sometimes.

if you have problems with the size and use Windows, then use Paint.Net. The good thing about this program is that it displays the size when you save a picture. You can adjust the quality of the picture in the process of saving it.

Yup, it's possible dimish the picture's quality quite a bit and you won't notice a difference. That's a good way to submit large pictures.

Can you elaborate a bit? What does exactly happen when you try to change the picture? Already mentioned, but, are you sure your picture meets both size and file extension requirements (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .bmp or .png). There's an error message anyway so that's most likely not the problem here.
I think pretty much all solutions have been given to solve this problem. Do you encounter any other problem with updating data or just with pictures?

After I select the picture, I click on "Update" button, then the browser returns to bands page (no error message), but the logo/photo don't change. All other informations I can change normally. I'm sure my picture follow the requirements.

Another thing: are you browsing with frames or with direct urls? That might be the problem.
If you use Firefox try the following: right click on the image > This Frame > Reload frame.

there is no change of course ... reloading does change nothing due to the temporary internet files and the cache. Re-load the frame does solve the problem, because then new information are loaded and the old ones will be removed.

I had a look and the image appears to be the same (too small) size.

Evidently these pictures must be adjusted in some way after drawing down in order to achieve required size.

The advice is for me?
I did so, but nothing has changed. What it should be good for?
May I am a little dull when I am asking this way.
It would be fine if someone manage to enlarge current picture of Antheom.
Notwithstanding it is not the most important thing.
When the photo stay updated as it is,no problem.

I have noticed that band's picture has already been modified. Now as a whole it looks much better than before. Thanks

It seems that all I needed was to restart my computer to be able to see the modification.
