I was wondering...

I occasionally use the "bands by letter" section to look for bands whose name I only partially remember, and I regularly use the "bands by country" section for various purposes, but does ANYONE ever use the "bands by genre" section? I just can't picture any possible use for it. Does anyone think it's really needed?

The last time I clicked it must've been somewhere last year, because I can't remember.

Clicked it intentionally or by accident?

It has it's uses. I've found a few good bands here and there by doing a *insert strange genre* search and clicking on bands.

Wouldn't the advanced search be more useful there?

I never use browse by genre and don't think it's necessary, and technically browse by country isn't necessary either since you could get the same results by searching with the advanced search. Definitely don't think browse by genre serves any purpose though.

Actually, now that you mentioned it, I think I did use the advanced search. I got a bit confused there.

Yeah, I use it sometimes. Only for boredom/novelty purposes though; never any real purpose.

I sometimes use it, although advanced search is just as good.

I use it more so than all of the other parameters. I like to just browse the archives for random bands that I've never listened to before, and it's very helpful to select the genre when I have an idea of what style I want to hear.

The browse pages are not too friendly right now because they lack navigation and pagination. This will be improved in the next version.
