I have noticed that some of the bands I've posted take one month to get published on the site while there are a few ones (such as the UK Hypergrinder I added recently) which took less than a day. I honestly don't mind very much that a band might take a lot of time to get published, I was just curious as to why this may happen.

There is no one reason as the band queue is not worked in any strict order, but I can give insight to some factors that may affect the process length.

Some bands are clearly metal, others are clearly not metal and some are borderline. Borderline bands will require more staff to review the material before a decision is made. Sometimes there may be questions/discussions required on whether we have enough evidence of a release, or the validity of the evidence provided. Another factor may simply be moderator preference - although I don't work the band queue nearly as much as many other mods, as a personal example I really don't like any brutal death, grind, slam, noise genres and the likes at all. I would far rather review submissions of other genres first as a. I will get far more enjoyment and b. I will most likely be able to make a better judgment.
