Hi all, I was just a tad confused as to what constitutes dark ambient metal and why this doesn't make the cut.

Thanks

Dark ambient is not metal and never was.
There is not dark ambient metal, only metal parts with ambient influences in their music.
The band in question has nothing that would resemble metal songwriting, real metal riffs or anything from any valid metal subgenre.

Dark Ambient bands that are here without much metal influence are side projects.
