Hi!
I try to occupy my free time trying to get some info about some bands. I have noticed that when I look for certain missing covers, those are for video clips.
According to MA rules, video is an acceptable release. And I assume (as most of us does), that it means: Blu-Ray, DVD, VHS, Beta, Laser disc, CD ROM or any other similar.
However, some users have included youtube video clips as a release, when the same rules say that is no acceptable:
More generally, any release that the general public had no way to get a copy of.
I checked some info about in the forum and it says:

Streaming-only, not a valid digital release.
And even if a download link was provided, this is about the artist more than any specific band. I don't think this is a valid release as per our rules, but it could be mentioned in the band's additional notes or something.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=124962&hilit=videoWhen a band releases an album, and it has a promo video, it is included in additional notes section, nor separately (unless, it has been released as a single too). Not as a different entry.
Example:
https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/I ... ps/1135905It only can be watched through YouTube, not even to listen through SoundCloud.
With this band, it has three entries listed as videos, and they are video clips:
https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Da ... iscography https://www.youtube.com/user/DawnfallxvHowever, they were released as singles too in Spotify.
https://open.spotify.com/artist/0eiuCwxUj7RDVsOesQaLq2So, I consider that the first case should be deleted, and the second one should be changed as singles. These are just two exmples, but many can be found.
What can be done besides to report them?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks a lot.
