another time this 1 copy crap was added to the Uruk-Hai site....

it is indeed part of the official discography.

but not enough to warrant an entry here. 1 copy releases are pseudo releases, because they are never distributed in any way. So, it is quite pointless to have them on the site.

i know what you mean.
but it is a release which exists and which is deemed to be official by the creator.

that is nice, but the MA are not his site. So, this release will be deleted.

did i ever say sth like this???
i only wanted to tell my opinion why it isn't against the rules!
there's nothing about limitations in the guidelines (only if a band should be accepted based on such a release)
if the moderators think it isn't valid to be listed they shall delete them.

Hm. I think the Haat888 dude is up to something. It says he modified the recently added Bloodkitt page, but I can't put my finger on what he did. It would be impossible for him to add anything relevant as I submitted the band with the assistance of one of the members.

Perhaps some minor mistakes such as a typo. It has also been updated by at least two other users in the meantime, who both seem to be reliable Metal Freaks.

Please confirm who post this note........

First, my addition was the catalogue number.
Catalogue number is an important information to music collectors.
Catalogue number is not a useless information.

Thanks!!

A release limited to one copy should not be added to the band's discography. You can add it to the additional notes if you want.

That photograph was actually added by another user earlier today. I can't remember their username, but I know it wasn't Necro. Whoever they were, they only had 1 point. The photo can also be found on the band's myspace page, although it's definitely not an actual real-life depiction of the members.

Black logo on transparent background, that's why it appears all black on the site.

Odiumaniac is adding a lot of links to Archaic Sound distro label on various pages (Peste Noire, primordial etc)

It's a another label among others not an official distributor

I fixed some minor errors on Senmuth's page, but three or four times I had to fix some album pages twice because an error or two escaped my sight at first time. This wasn't intentional (but, if necessary, detract some points from me).

I noticed a bunch of invalid/random links to labels/distros being listed errantly under a few link categories - primarily "Hells Headbangers", as can be seen listed under some big names like Iron Maiden and Burzum with a quick search here:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... =&aql=&oq=

I have seen each of these quite a few times, going to the site's main page, and often not having any of the band's merch nor anything else related.

http://www.hellsheadbangers.com/
http://www.officialabyssrecords.com/
http://www.israhellbanger.com/

Can't find any user with the last edit other than a few mods though.

I've been reporting a lot of bands for link issues lately. Some distros don't have pages for bands but instead just alphabetic lists, but in cases where I can provide a URL that leads to a band's page or even search results that list stuff by the band on the distro/web shop, I've been reporting that the link should be replaced with that rather than just going to the distro's main page. I've just being going through bands I listen to so it's far from a thorough process. Maybe once I hit veteran status I'll try a systematic approach.

So people know I'm editing and updating the links for a lot of underground black metal bands over this evening and tomorrow morning, so a lot of bands will be updated. It's mainly adding links for labels that currently are not there and removing defunct links.

you do not have to warn us about your 'deeds'. As long as you are not caught adding pointless links to various sites, updates are not an issue.

I'm actually adding links to labels that have released music for the pages I'm updating, and am changing all the Thorn Laceration Records links to be fully up to date with domain changes. So no I'm not adding pointless links, for your information. And I thought I'd just let it be known here so someone doesn't freak out and start shouting out I'm point whoring. Pretty simple, really.

I don't think he implied that you can add worthless links as long as you don't get caught nor that your links were worthless. Rather, you can do the updates you want as long as you don't add worthless links.

Thanks, but that's really not necessary. You already have Veteran status so what would be the purpose to point whore? This thread is essentially to prevent users to reach Veteran status thanks to worthless updates.

Well, Gorgoroth's lyrics aren't supposed to be published.

"Gorgoroth has never published their lyrics in accompaniment to their albums, and they do not condone unauthorized reproduction of lyrics so DO NOT add ANY lyrics!"

I'm just saying, if there is no problem, sorry for my mistake.

:durr: No, you are right. I did not see that. I searched anything about not adding the lyrics on the release page but not on the main page.

http://metal-archives.com/userprofile.p ... yssRecords
Adding tons of junk links and mislabeling links to a store of the same name as the username, as well as tons of links to improper labels, main pages of distros, and other worthless content.

Ad Hominem http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=11304
Labels - Darker Than Black - Division Vinland (http://www.officialabyssrecords.com/)

Burzum
Labels - Darker Than Black (Vinland) My Space (links to DTB label page, but Burzum were never on this label)
Abyss Records can also be found on this page, followed by five links to generic Burzum pages on sites without much Burzum merch, and five more links to main pages of random sites.
There is also a review in Spanish linked as a fan site when there are 10 reviews on this site (
Review @ Rocka Rolla Web Zine)

This user also appears to be linking the same junk, including Abyss Records and a bunch of random distro main pages

I already submitted a big report for Burzum that should have cleaned up a lot of the links. I've noticed a shitload of those Abyss Records links, too. I've been reporting them with a URL that leads to search results for the band in question rather than just the store's homepage. I had no idea it was one user adding all of those links though. Sloppy shit. Same goes for other merch links which have been added in really stupid ways. JSR Direct links almost always just go to the homepage even though you don't even need to search that store (it has a band-specific drop-down menu that changes the URL...how hard is that to link?).

Also I think CM Distro changed how they do their URL's so like all of those are 404's. The CM Distro site is down at the moment so I can't find working links. Oh well...more links to add later, I guess.
