I've been enjoying the latest Daft Punk release and was wondering if any of you know of any good dance music/acts? (Im not talking about monotonous pop singles on the radio, although some are welcome!) Old school or new..

BTW, I'm finding the new Daft Punk to be lacking some certain magic, but its okay...

I used to listen to this group a lot when they started off as 8-bit. Now they've changed into a electronica/dubstep-y kinda style.

YLHCSD - Sunday's Best

Breakbot - funky chunky bass driven French House. He recently released a debut, great stuff, but less electronic, more 70's.

Mystery Skulls - Amazing. Wikipedia says he's in a metal band, which I found out is unfortunately a very boring deathcore act.

Fred Falke - Another French artist. Some of his work is similar to Daft Punk's Discovery.

Kavinsky - Probably the forerunner of this somewhat underground retro 80's soundtrack music, you may already know of him from the film Drive.

Power Glove - 80's incarnate. Warning: Listening to this may make you want to become a rogue cop, dishing out cheesey highway justice, unbound by rules or the law.

OK, last one, I swear: Lazerhawk - more fantastic catchy retro 80's electronic shit.

dude, BaloroftheEvilEye, I love the retro 80's electronic shit. The only one I knew doing that type of thing was Com Truise. You definitely gotta pm me some recs for that type of stuff.

Hudson Mohawke has an EP called Satin Panthers. It's so fucking good I can hardly bring myself to listen to any other electronic music. make sure you got your subwoofer turned up
