If you ever need a guide give me a yell :) South coast WA is quite incredible, hoping I can score a teaching job down there next year. Not as wild as the north west perhaps, but still pretty much unpopulated, amazing fishing and waves, some really untouched areas. Would roadtrip down if I wasn't a broke student, but alas :(

I was really starting to get rather good at it, but getting married meant it just wasn't worth continuing it. So many dudes up north with broken marriages. So, a grad dip and in a year's time I'll hopefully be teaching primary school kids music (but may just get stuck in an ordinary classroom). The mining's there as a backup should we ever need cash, it's just a bit of a dead end thing, something you do for a season then never touch again. I got some pretty epic travelling experiences and maybe I shoulda bought a house, but I'm pretty psyched with where I am now.

Maan I here ya. For me, contracting is great, got plenty of contacts, but I'm married and have 12 year old son - not something I want to separate myself from anymore. Plus I don't really like having to chase work to remote places anymore. That is a young, single man's game... pity though, cause the money is awesome...

People here I'd like to have a beer with (assuming they drink beer):

Spoiler: show
Earthcubed (to be schooled on heavier beers)
MacMoney (see above, and metal)
Morrigan (just because)
Napero (often funny bastard)
caspian
Bezerko
OzzyApu (again, just because, and one of the oldest names I know here)
Metantoine
Necro
Veracs (that's right0
Forestcorpse
LegendMaker
dreadmeat
bloodycumshit
the Frog
Under_Starmere
Empyreal

If you didn't make the list I've either already met you, or you haven't made an impression.... Yet.

Sure man! Just don't come during the winter if you don't want to deal with a snowstorm like we have today! (30+ centimeters). I'm also planning to do an European and Australian tour, probably after university or when I'll be a full time teacher.

FTR I'm okay with not being on that list 'cause I realize I'm probably not much fun around strangers.

Hah, glad to have made the drinking list! We'll discuss cavernous music and the finer points of American micro-brews.

So I picked up Magnum's On a Storyteller's Night on a whim and it's good. Pretty sweet, glossy 80s rock, with some decidedly un-sleazy choruses and really cool riffs here and there. Pretty classy shit. Anyone like em?

Emp, it's OK, but wears out surprisingly fast. On the third spin, approximately. Just like the rest of magnum's discography.

I'm kinda honoured to make it on the beer list. But then again, every Aussie that has been here has thoroughly enjoyed the free Foster's. Every time. No complaints.

You guys are going to be discussing beers, so maybe nobody will remember that unless someone secretly doesn't get drunk and brings a camera to sell you guys your embarrasing photos in exchange of not posting them on the net.

On the other hand, maybe you'll get promoted to forum mod against your wishes :)

:) Last time was real awesome. I was kinda worried about how the wife was going to go but she thoroughly enjoyed herself. We fondly reminisce about the massive amount of food you feed us quite often.. Definitely get down here when you can.

The only MA user I know I'll be meeting in person is Goatfangs since he's coming to the show Sorrowseed's doing in Pennsylvania on Friday. Zodijackyl and I have discussed meeting at shows before since both he and I live in Connecticut, but nothing's come to pass yet.
