Fuck the minimization, I love movies (watching, talking about, etc.), soccer (watching more than playing, but I don't exactly follow any team or league heavily), Porn, anime, and pc gaming (second to metal for me). Hard to find my invested in anything but these things.

-Food. I enjoy eating so much, I'm still surprised that I'm not fat (most people ask if I've been working out, truth is that I haven't lifted weights for almost 2 years). Tender racks of ribs, juicy burgers, huge bowls of comfort food, etc.
-Trance music. It just sounds incredibly nice to listen to; especially vocal trance. Emma Hewitt is the shit.
-Competitive video games. I enjoy watching top players and teams play Dota, Counter-Strike, and Street Fighter much like how people enjoy watching top level sports.
-Building computers. Cheaper for more.

Non-Metal hobbies:

Sports: of the Chicago variety. Yeah. Not fun a lot of times, but I'm doomed to it.

Wine. Whites. I like dry Riesling, good Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio and Sauv. Blanc. Generally do not like Chardonnay. Reds: only the best, which usually means older and more expensive.

My girlfriend :)

Travel. New places, new things. Recently went to Punta Cana. Lots of fun on the beach. Living in Wisconsin, I highly recommend getting the hell out of the cold for a week during the winter, if you can.

8-bit gaming. Mostly Atari. Other than that, everything else is just a mild interest. I seem to be into all the other shit that everybody else is into...horror, comics, beer, books, video games. But really, metal and 8-bit gaming are what I'm a "fan" of.

right at the moment, outside of music (noise and metal), it's all about cooking, wine/beer/scotch appreciation, reading (about 2 or 3 hours a day, mostly history) and Warhammer 40k. To a serious and possibly obsesive extent. I've painted 6 2000+ point armies in the last 5 or 6 years, I take commission work when I have time (although at this point its only now and then as I have my own shit to work on, I paint all my brothers stuff and I have work, university, band and relationship commitments), I have a full sized architects bench with daylight lamps, extractor fan, airbrush setup, tool racks etc in my study. I've set a goal to at least get a placing in the Aus golden demon in the next couple of years, and after that use it as a skill I can use to generate a worthwhile chunk of regular income through commission pieces once I finish my Masters degree. So I'm constantly looking at blogs, tutorials, books, dvd's for techniques and I try and make a habit of doing "one-off" display pieces in between painting armies. According to the national tournament rankings I'm only a mid-ranking tourney player, but in the top 10% for painting/conversion.

-Non-metal music (mostly classic rock, blues, darkwave post-punk-ish, ambient, psychedelic and pre-2k alternative and some post-rock)
-Good food, not at all good at cooking apart from some instant noodles and soups. :-P
-Sitcoms (As long it isn't into How I Met your Mother or Big Bang Theory territory)
-Movies (Horror and its variants, Crime drama, WWI and WWII based movies and a bit of sci-fi)
-Used to play video games avidly at a point but got over it.
-Books, mostly graphic novels by Alan Moore, Peter Straub and Stephen King and a bit of Marvel and DC as well.
-Football/Soccer. I follow Barclays Premier League and Bundesliga in general and fan of Liverpool and Bayern Munich respectively. Internationally I support England. My top 3 all time favourite players are Zinedine Zidane, Lothar Matthaus and Steven Gerrard.
-Playing bass (moderate) and guitars (amateur).
and
-Pronz obviously. :-D

- Paintball
- Chess
- Watching South Park (The only show that I continuously watch)
- Wasting time on Facebook and MA :D
- Comic books (I know about events that happen, but I can never get my hands on a lot of books)

To be completely honest, I haven't found anything else that I enjoy as much as music. I try to be as outgoing as possible but I've been without luck. As for what I occupy my time with: driving, drinking coffee, playing Fallout 3, wandering aimlessly around various towns and having the cops stalk me, chilling at my friends' places and watching foreign films on Netflix. I gave up on getting laid.

-Play guitar. Most of the time metal oriented but I try to come up with a lot of stuff and fail writing anything good out of most of the time I'm afraid. Recently my guitar teacher showed me a program named ''Guitar scales method'' which is suppose to master me all the guitar scales so I can improve/write much easier with things.

-Sing! I've been taking singing lessons for a year now and still improving. People who have heard my voice said I sound pretty decent.

-Exercising quite a bit. During the springs/summers I like to go out for a run. Now I should be doing some body exercises but I can't say that I've put much effort into it yet. I used to be into soccer but quit some years ago, after doing it for 14 years. Currently I'm thinking of starting karate but I'm not sure if I'll have the time for it because school's making me busy.

-Reading things, mostly about psychology related stuff. This is something I've been getting back into since a couple of months.

A worthy goal.

As for me, I'm mainly into dwelling on the human condition (I'm really deep like that) and looking down on people who actually try to do something with their lives or talents and have real interests or hobbies. Basically my first love is not doing things. I'm pretty great at it, if I do say so myself. An occasional book (philosophy or philosophically influenced novels mainly, though I'm really shit at the academic side of it) or a movie (not too discerning, but a philosophical/existential twist is welcomed as always) as well. And some stand-up comedy (Doug Stanhope, Dylan Moran, Jimmy Carr, Jim Jefferies, Mitch Hedberg, used to love Carlin but my love has died down a little). I actually prefer most of these to metal, but I listen to my favorites occasionally.

I guess I have three hobbies/lifestyle activities/things that pretty much determine what I do with my life, where I work, what I work as, where I live etc. They'd be: god, my wife, and (not quite on the same pedestal, but it does play a pretty huge role in a lot of my choices) waves/surfing/bodyboarding/bodysurfing/etc.

Second tier interests that are pretty important would be music, playing and listening, travel and being a beer snob. They make the good life better..

Add AFL, cricket, south park, reading (fantasy and military history, generally) the occaisonal cigarette and video games to the mix and you've got a very happy caspian :)

Oh you guys reminded me of a few more, too. Artistic shit like drawing/photography/writing, playing guitar, occasionally reading horror novels, and of course drinking. xD

I have South Park on DVD all the way up until season 14 I think, but really in my opinion it went downhill after season 8 anyway. The only shows I really like anymore are metal shows on VH1 Classic and Metalocalypse.

Why not watch them online for free? I do that and I still watch the show on TV.

I like roguelike RPGs. They remind me of black metal: very little emphasis on graphics, just like BM has little emphasis on sound quality; a small but highly dedicated fanbase; and anyone can make a decent roguelike in his basement, but there are a few which are truly awesome.

And linguistics.

I like nature (I'm a bit of a tree hugger) cycling, cooking/eating, history, and video games, mostly rpgs, but between working which occupies more than 50% of my day and the fact that I just started going back to school its hard to do much. A guilty pleasure of mine would be cheese ball t.v. like finding bigfoot and UFO hunters and other shows like that.

I've developed a bit of an interest in downhill skating. I'm also getting a bit into cooking, just got a bunch of new kitchen paraphernalia for Christmas, so I'm seeking to improve my abilities in that. I play RPG's, pretty into those. I like nature, and attempt to hike whenever I get the chance.
While I'm no horror buff, I do love myself some old B-slashers from the 80's, and cinema in general.

To be honest, I have some little hobbies like those mentioned above, but I never really develop them much, or as much as I want to, definitely gonna need to get crackin' on solving that issue.

-Getting laid - Allthough I have a wife now, I try to make sweet fucking love to her every day, twice a day. Shes hot-
-Music
-Movies and sitcoms - Currently watching the wire season 2, great show.
-Pot - Mayor influence in my life. Kinda like fucking. Every day, at least, twice a day-
-Beer - Just as pot
-Literature
-Travelling
-Economy, politic, and things I can whine about.

Im recently living in Barcelona and Im working on my residence papers, so I have a lot of free time. Im very intresting.

Music in general has been a partner in crime since the very beginning. Metal, classical, jazz, some pop (like Depeche Mode, A-ha, George Michael), ambient, folklore, etc.

I'm also a fan from horror and thrillers (especially the psychological ones) in mostly every shape: comics, anime, movies, books, illustrations, toys/figures, etc.

I like history. I read a lot, also I like art, mostly sculptures, paintings, architecture, etc.

Oh, and I like to drink. I mostly drink beer (many brands and types, mostly strong stuff like Gulden Draak) and absinthe.

I'm also married, which encapsulates many other stuff that, while some wouldn't consider hobbies, are things that I like to do and I do them often, among those things I have 3 cats that mean for me true sons.

I fenced competitively for 6 years (high school through first half of college) but stopped after I got burnt out with it...Didn't start to dislike the sport or people or anything, just sort of lost interest after focusing ALL my free time on it for that period. After that I picked up music writing on account of buying a synthesizer and have been balls-deep in that ever since. I later tried to pick up guitar and bass as well, but sold those when I decided I wanted to focus entirely on synths (alongside vocals in a local metal band.) I'm absolutely fascinated with the process of creating sounds from scratch - and then making songs out of them - that I hope to pursue this hobby for a long time.

I had already been playing saxophone since middle school so I already knew how to read music; the biggest learning curve with the synths was songwriting theory.

Secondary hobbies have always included video games, reading (mostly fiction) and camping/outdoors stuff when time permits. I used to play video games all the time through high school but recently ended up in a cycle where I'll play a few games for 3 or 4 months then go three or four months without gaming.

Music-wise, I started getting into electronica on account of synthesizers and have been slowly delving into that, though I primarily listen to Deadmau5 and Monolake.

Hahaha, cheers!

Some of my interests outside metal...

- Music in general... I spend a good portion of my time invested in music (whether it be death/black/grind, classic rock, "classical", rap, etc...) either listening or actively participating. I have a musical background and have been singing for as long as I can remember.
- Video Games... In my spare time I enjoy the occasional FPS or RPG.
- I am an avid beer drinker and ganja inhaler. I occasionally enjoy other recreational substances as well.
- I really enjoy reading, but since graduating college have sort of fallen out of the habit, unfortunately. I've been meaning to get into the Song of Fire and Ice series, since I've heard nothing but great things from my most trusted friends.
- Watching/reading the news, observing mankind's seemingly indefatigable willingness to destroy itself and everything around it.
- Spending time with friends, family, my dog, and women (still on the prowl for that certain someone special).
- Quality food/dining experiences.
