Nice ones!

I have been thinking about getting an octopuss tattoed on my left shoulder with some tentacles through arm, chest, back and neck.
I would like it to have this appearance (it gets spiky when you make it angry) but we must work on the design:

Mine took 3 hours. The guy is insanely fast.

Just popped my tattoo cherry today, at the tender age of 38! Daughter's name on shoulder, very happy with it.

I've always wanted the phrase "Homo homini lupis" (Man is a wolf to man) on an arm or shoulder. But I'm a bitch about needles, and, being an American, I feel like most of my fellow countrymen would act like idiots and bigots if I had the word "Homo" tatoo'd on my arm.

I have a tattoo of The Dude on my left arm. It is my favorite of all the tattoos I have.

I took the picture in the mirror. It does look pretty weird though.

Thanks man!

@Kveldulfr: Yep! It's an awesome shirt. The album art for Penetralia kicks ass.

If you are going to get a tattoo, you need to be able to kick the asses of those who would make fun of it. Rule #32 of Tattoos.

Naw, I'm parked up in Michigan. I missed the last close Lebowskifest that came by, which was in Chicago.

The Macabre Eternal tattoo is a year old, same artist but I think he's blended it in well to the new one really well so fair play to him.

I couldn't disagree more. I don't get why more people don't see it as a go big or go home deal. The only way I would ink myself is if I dedicated myself to a full-body piece. And the only way I would bother with that was if I was bald. One of the few things Kerry King got absolutely right.

I too love tattoos as a work of art.

I'd love to get some full-sleeves some day, but for now, I only have this design on my chest (minus the logo):

I always wanted the cover of Epicus Doomicus Metallicus in my upper arm. Do you think it would look good? I'm a little short by the way. But my huge love has always been the Draconian Times front cover by Paradise Lost. Do you think it could be done as a sleeve tattoo?
Sorry I don't know how to post pictures...

Draconian Times as a sleeve, maybe. It depends on quite a few things like how big your arms are and how good you artist is, also you may have to sacrifice quite a bit of detail to fit in on such a small space as an arm. Your best bet would be to pic an artist/shop and bring them the picture and let them see if it's possible.

The "bleed for the devil" part was something I thought of putting on there in the chair as he was drawing the stencil. Only fitting considering that was the first Morbid Angel song I ever heard.

I'm not a fan of text in tattoos, but since you were bleeding, as long as it was for the devil, it's accurate!

You forgot to insert a clip of Mills Lane shouting "I'll allow it!"

The session was two hours long. The only times it ever really hurt were the first couple minutes due to not being accustomed to having a needle quickly stab me a few dozen times, and the inking inside the outline since he used a bigger needle for that. It stopped bleeding hours ago and I put my Aquaphor on it about 45 minutes ago. Changed wraps at my dad's house since the one I got at the parlor was legit dripping blood down my sleeve.

Resurrection time! I'm not sure what the rules are re: necroposting...

Anyways I thought I'd share my tatts with you people, I currently have four and am considering different designs for my fifth.

The first one I ever got is an ouroboros. Not the most original idea yeah, but I like what it represents- the concept of infinity and cycles. It looks less elongated in real life, it's just how the angle of the camera makes it look.

Spoiler: show
Image

The second is a picture of hops.

Spoiler: show
Image

BUTT PIC The third one I got is the logo for the Brewing Network on my right ass cheek. It just seemed to be the right place to put it to me.

Spoiler: show
Image

My most recent one is the nembutsu, which is a core concept in Shin Buddhism.
