Title says it all, a discussion about artistic depictions of Baphomet. Originally, I planned to do a thread just about album art of metal albums, since I have a compulsive habit to acquire any album that has some sort of Baphomet or other goat demon on the cover. It's my criteria for finding new artists when browsing vendors at metal shows... If I have the cash I'll buy all albums that have some sort of demon on the cover.

Some of my favorite album covers like this are:
http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=11513 (Who is the artist that did this picture?)
http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=10584
http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=3139

The CD of Oath of Black Blood by Beherit has one too, done by the same artist as the Archgoat release (Chris Moyen).

Aside from album art, this thread is also about your favorite depictions of Baphomet... I'm very curious if there are Baphomet pewter figurines available for sale.

Ceremonial Castings has 2 albume covers with a Baphomet like figure on theme. Barbaric is the Beast's cover has a goat headed warrior in the middle of a battle, battling smaller mortal knights. Salme 1692's albume depicts witches (some clothed, some naked, some half way) arround a fire and the fire's smoking bringing up a goat headed being.

Immortal Black Art's cover has one as well, but I like the one on Barbaric is the Beast... it reminds me of a piece Chris Moyen did that shows a Baphomet holding a machine gun smoking a cigar in the middle of a wartorn area.

I like this one:

but I am pretty sure it is from something else - anyone know from where for sure?

Famine also used it as the inside sleeve of their CD. It's so familiar, but I can't place my finger on it...

That picture pops up on a shitload of covers... Abigor used it for their Lux Devicta Est demo, and it's also on an Hellfire album.

Baphomet plushie: http://uglyart.net/baphomet.html

Looks like crap, especially in the face, but it's a neat idea.

Not a fan of the album, but a decent cover.

I have been looking for a figure like this, preferably one that is 18 inches high, but I cannot seem to find it.

Does anyone know about any baphomet figures out there that are larger than this (other than the 35 inch baphomet doll I posted earlier)?

That looks exactly like the Baphomet on Dimmu Borgir's In Sorte Diaboli.

Electric Wizard's Dopethrone and Self-titled album had some of those illustrations in the liner notes. Not Baphomet, but demons in the old archaic textbook kinda style. Also, Burning Witch's reissue of Crippled Lucifer has a few sketches of Baphomet in the liner notes.

It's not really Baphomet, but it's a goatlike demon and I think it counts, and so I'm going to nominate The Devil You Know by the one and only Heaven & Hell.

I'd also like to mention Akercocke, whose booklets often include some delightfully blasphemous pictures of sexualized goat people.

Wes Benscoter did that cover.

I think these are the people who make that Baphomet statue. They are sold out of the large one, but try sending them an email to see if they're making more, or a store they wholesaled to that may have it in stock.
