The only site I can think of is Spirit of Metal?

The entries are "deliveraty missing" because we don't consider them to be metal. A line has to be drawn somewhere, disagreements are inevitable. Alternatively, if the entries are missing because they are really obscure bands we haven't heard of, feel free to submit them to the queue... but I doubt that's the case.

I just wish there were sites comparable to this one for like, proto-metal and heavy psych type stuff. And prog. There is the Prog Archives, but they are no where near as comprehensive as MA is for metal.

There is rateyourmusic which is for all genres. It doesn't have all the super obscure bands with 1 demo like metallum does, but it's still pretty huge. Same for discogs.

So the best way to find metal genres not listed here (metalcore, nu metal, industrial metal...) are Discogs and Spirit of Metal?
