Punk is one of those genres I've always liked but never really go into on a band basis. I listened a lot to compilation albums in my youth but rarely bought the full lengths of the bands. One example of a band where I actually listen to only their stuff are The Ruts. Classic stuff, great hooks and some experimentation.

I'd probably enjoy more stuff if I gave it the time of day but I just tend to prioritize other genres.

Never been much of a fan of true punk but there are a lot of punk influenced bands that I have liked, most of the old thrash and so on. I guess Suicidal Tendencies count but I really got into them when they went more into a thrash metal style.

Suicidal Tendencies' debut album is as punk as it gets, and it rips!

My favorite punk band would definitely have to be Aus-Rotten, they talk about systematic issues and theyre just awesome.
