Where to even begin...Cage is a rapper from the glory days of underground hip-hop in the late 90s New York. He began his career making horrorcore rap, which is largely thought to be where Eminem was influenced and developed his sound based on that. He since has evolved to make all kinds of different and experimental songs. I'll just link his wikipedia and you can read up if you wish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cage_(rapper)

What really got my interest going again is his newest musical output under the name Sam Hill. It is very overtly Satanic and black metal influenced, as he is a very big fan of black metal. For any fans of hip-hop here, I just can't think I've ever heard anything quite like this, even though the album isn't out yet. He has one single and a bunch of samples out on instagram and facebook, which I'll link below, but it's really got me interested. I was a big hip-hop fan as a kid and teen, including Cage, but there's very little good stuff out there these days. He's gone completely independent and self-funded, so I thought I would share it with a bunch of people here who are probably very familiar with Satanism, or at least won't be offended by it. I hope people catch on to this so there can be more made in the future

Big Cage fan here, love all of his music (Including his so-called "emo" later albums.) Movies For the Blind and Hell's Winter are damn near perfect albums to me.

Everything I've heard from his Sam Hill stuff has been a great mix of old and new Cage and I noticed the Black Metal influence immediately. The Sam Hill logo especially looks like something a BM band would have. I have been eagerly awaiting him to release it for the past 3 years.

Oh hey good to see another fan. Since I posted this, I'm sure you've seen he put out a new song and I've heard October is the release date. It's hard to believe it's been 4 years now since he put anything out, although this is hardly the first time he's taken this long

If that is true about the release date then I can't wait! Yes, I heard Excvse the Blood and I liked it as much as I did anything else. I bet the title of that song is a reference to Dead from Mayhem.

Yeah, the wait time was about 5 years between Depart From Me and Kill the Architect.

I actually know Cage personally and yes it is a reference to Mayhem, good call. I will just say that I have heard most of Book of Sam in demo form and it is possibly my favorite hip hop album ever

Sweet. I have really been looking forward to it.
Did you know him from back in his drug fueled days or did you not meet him until after?

No, I only met him after Kill the Architect. That's kind of a long story I could DM you on but yeah it sounds killer. I've also heard some of the new actual Cage record
