More people should know how to make a fire. I know I grew up rural and in the woods, so it made sense that my school had wilderness courses and that I learned this pretty early on, but making a fire is such a simple skill. Learning that skill can be vital in life or death scenarios.

All of this is still not as bad as not being able to boil water, though!

I am actually pretty sure that given a functional lighter and then left in Finnish woods alone, about 80% of the users of this board would still freeze to death. Having a lighter does not equal being able to make a fire in the wilderness. There's more to it than just that.

I think it started from some InfoWars type site and spread from there, my idiot cousin was posting about being ready to fuck up any ANTIFA he sees today. AntiFa did a real fucking A++ bang-up job here at one of our local tech schools. An unfortunate event that occurred on campus, followed by a vigil led to AntiFa storming the college, burning cop cars and completely destroying the entire event because, you know... fascism, I guess?

I have a friend who lives and works on campus, and local forum chatter unanimously said the vigil was taking place until AntiFa in masks showed up destroying shit and screaming at the cops, forcing all the students to flee to their dorms, leaving AntiFa to do what they do best: overreact and be in places where nobody wants them.

I hate having insomnia

Et tu, Brute? It's one of the things that can really, really fuck one's life up. I've never had more than a week of insomnia, and I can readily believe that I can't really imagine what it must be after a year.

It's fucked. I don't know what exactly triggers it, but it shows when i travel almost 100% of the time. I slept maybe 8 hours since 430 friday morning. And almost three of that was a mid afternoon nap yesterday.

I think that's called jet lag.
