One band I failed to mention ITT: Genöcide. The whole album is a blistering fury of Metalpunk, with some songs veering much closer to hardcore and others to Metal. To me, the whole affair is like The Mentors meets Motörhead.

all in all, he has plenty of similar material. Rhythm guitar is not always metal enough, but his leads definitely are. Not surprising actually, since he taught men behind Ride the Lightning and Seven Churches how to shred

Bit of an old thread, but I like hearing these outliers in artists' discographies.

I was listening to Kate Bush's Never for Ever this morning and realized that the song "Violin" could pass for some manic 70's heavy metal, especially if the production was a little meatier.

Though I haven't listened to all of UFO's music, what I've heard from them most certainly sounds metal to my ears. The song "Rock Bottom" was recently shared by a friend and I was thinking why in the hell isn't this band on the archives?
